About this listing

Must love pets: Marigny location and deal to stay in my main house, which has 2 bathrooms, stainless kitchen, queen bed, extra full bed sleeping nook.

I would need you to feed/water/care for pets. They are all very lovable and easy to tend to, just love attention.

Extra people: $40 / night after 2 guests
Cleaning Fee: $50

The space

I'm in the Marigny close to the French Quarter and Bywater. It's 4 blocks from Frenchmen st, but safe and quiet enough to enjoy the quiet when you get home.

My home, which has queen bed, huge open kitchen and living area, 2 bathrooms, and a little nook with full futon (serta springs--very comfy) sofa bed. Oh, and laundry, too.

Pets: Stella the husky, Dottie the rottie, jester the orange cat, and sissy pounce the fat calico cat.

Guest access

Enter through the side yard via remote gate, code 2526. You only need to push those numbers then any key to close. Make sure you do quick and w no dogs walking by so dogs aren't tempted to escape. They know not too, but dogs barking by may be too appealing.

The neighborhood

This neighborhood is probably one of, if not THE greatest 'hood in NOLA. The Marigny is so accessible to the FQ and downtown, along with the hip and trendy Bywater. The neighbors are wonderful and there is so much to do and great places to eat nearby. It is super walkable, friendly and quaint.

Getting around

I would Uber or taxi. There is public transit, but I'm in a very walkable area.

Other things to note

Great little grocery called Mardi gras zone on royal and port street. Open all hours, but don't have alcohol. Only silk road and up at hanks (a bit more dangerous section) have alcohol.

Kerrie had a lovely home in the perfect location! Very friendly pets!

This was our first Airbnb experience, and it was great! The house was in a great location. We always felt safe, but usually took ubers to the French quarter and Frenchman rather than walk. And all of Kerrie's pets were great and so friendly. We really enjoyed our stay!

We loved everything about the place. It felt staying with family. We couldn't recommend it higher, especially for animal lovers.

Kerrie's place was great for our stay. The location was awesome. It was away from the craziness of French Quarter and we were able to see a quaint neighborhood of NO. When we wanted to join in the party, it was only 15 mins away and Frenchmen was even closer. We felt safe to walk home at night (but use your own judgement). Kerrie was out of town during our trip but her godson, Terence, welcomed us, showed us around, and gave us tips on places to go. He was also only a text away when we had questions. Thanks Terence :) Kerrie was also flexible with check in. It was a big plus for us, since we had a red-eye. The space was very nice and spacious. We didn't take full advantage of it since we were mostly out and about. The shower was a real treat, especially after a long day of walking. And saving the best for last, the pets! They were AWESOME. They were so friendly, adorable, and goofy. I miss them already! They love attention so I would definitely recommend this place to a pet lover and someone who is used to have pets (cats and dogs) around the house.

Kerrie was an excellent host. Any questions we had she responded to immediately. She accommodated our requests without question. She was professional but warm in her communications. She stocked the fridge and left thoughtful directions on how to care for her sweet pets. The animals were darling; well behaved and affectionate. The apartment itself is very comfortable and rich in personality. The location can't be beat. You can walk to anywhere in the Quarter and feel safe. She provided bicycles for a nominal fee which expanded multiple fold our first NOLA experience as a family. Two bathrooms were an additional plus along with being able to park off the street. I really like both baths but the princess bathroom was truly luxurious. I was so pleased as this was my first AIRBNB experience.

My 3 girl friends and I stayed at Kerrie's a few weekends ago. We absolutely loved her place! It's just as described on the website. Kerrie wasn't there to meet us but her godson Terence was there. He was very helpful to show us around the house and neighborhood. He walked us to a local grocery store so we could get some snacks and drinks. He even waited for us while we were shopping to walk us back so we don't get lost. I mean how sweet is that? Dogs are very chill and awesome. They would hang out with us in the living room, making us feel at home. The house is very clean and cute. As for the hood, it is very quiet. Very close to Frenchmen st and French Quarter (like 10-15 min walk). We took Uber a few times and each time it was no more than $6-$7. A block away there is a little coffee shop (New Orleans Cake Cafe and Bakery) where they have super delicious breakfast sandwiches...just FYI :) Thank you, Kerrie, for the lovely stay!

Kerrie was a Perfect host. The house is simply adorable with a lavish master bath that made me feel like a Princess. She was super helpful and always available by text. The neighborhood is the perfect location if you really want to experience the city and not just bump into other tourist all day. There is the most amazing bakery (that also serves breakfast & lunch) like 1 block from the house. Frenchman street is right around the corner and a MUST visit. My personal favorite about the entire trip were Kerrie's four legged family members!! They are seriously the sweetest most hilarious bunch. I actually miss them now that I'm gone. It was awesome to stay in a home so obviously cared for and built with love! Hope to visit again next time I'm in town!

I love New Orleans and am excited you are considering staying at my place, although you may not even see me bc you have your own private space (separate from my living space). I am happy to steer you in the right direction for food and music. I love my pets, so am happy to consider your furry travel companion. Your dog must be ok with cats, too, bc they often hang on the porch.

I'm an occupational therapist, but primarily teach (university), ride a motor scooter, and feel lucky to live in the Marigny/New Orleans.
