In San Silvestro square, 3-minute walking from Rialto Bridge, 15 minutes from Piazza San Marco.
The water bus stop of "San Silvestro" is less than 1 min far, without bridges.
The Rialto stop is just across the bridge.
Great location but quiet and peaceful street.
Room with double bed, private bathroom inside the room, with the chance to ask for a sofa bed (double).
Very nice and welcoming space.
Guests have at their disposal a livingroom with a piano and television, and this livingroom will be part of the room in the case of groups of 3 or 4 guests.
Tourist tax not included (3 euros per person per day for the first 5 nights).
For stays of only ONE NIGHT there is a CLEANING FEE of 10 euros, to pay here cash (so not included in the airbnb charge, as not possible to set the fee for just 1 night)
The host is my friend Dimitri, he's a traveller and a very kind person. He lives there and he will welcome you and will be there for all your needs.
The location is perfect to explore venice. The room was very clean. Dimitri was a very nice host. Two things to improve. In the description was 2 bedrooms with 2 beds offered. In realyty there was only one bedroom and one living room with a davenport (couch) and the mattress was not really top!
Breakfast was very good!
We had a great stay in Venice, it was very clean and very central. Our host was exceptionally friendly and made sure we were always happy. Highly recommended.
We stayed here for one night for my birthday. There are three rooms, we had the one described in air B&B, which is the biggest one and with your own bathroom, living room and walk-in closet (actually the walk-in closet is a third room of at least 3x3 meters, though with a big closet in it.
The place looked exactly as in the pics and is super easy to reach (boat number 1 stops 2 minutes away, number 2 stops 5 minutes away and has the benefit you can tick Rialto bridge off your list as you need to cross that to get to the place). St Marco square can be reached in about 15 min walk and it's great walking through the little streets and canals getting there. Don't feel like you need to stay at a place closer to the major sights as the center of Venice is small and everything is super easy to reach by foot (signs everywhere) and by public transport (boats). Buy a discount card for the boats for the time of your stay ((website hidden) ACTV in venice)!
The Suite is on the first floor. Everything was really clean. the shower was a bit funny and old: it didn't sprinkle that well, but definitely did the job.
The bed was 180x200, so nice an spacious, though the beds are made Italian style: a sheet covered by a duvet (no duvet cover was used, the duvet itself was "naked" so to speak) and then a bedspread. As we are used to separate duvets, i slept under the bedspread and sheet and my husband under the duvet, which therefore did not have a cover. I personally don't think that is very hygienic, though i am sure you could ask for an extra set of bedlinen.
Dimitri is the actual owner and he was there to cater for our every wish. He had a map for us and gave us very good, not touristy, suggestions for dinner, drinks and shopping.
As no guests were expected early on the day we left, he was super flexible with check out and we could leave our luggage, and our shopping of the day, there till we (email hidden).
We have a 18 month old son and though we didn't bring him with us on this trip, the place would definitely work for families with (small) kids: all attractions are walking distance, you have a separate room, across the hall - the walk-in closet, where you could put the baby bed or your kid could sleep in the living room and there are not many things a small child could break or hurt himself.
Though Dimitri is a chef and used to own several restaurants, breakfast is super simple and Italian style: toast with jam and Nutella, tea and coffee.
Next time we are in Venice we most likely would try to stay here again and i will for sure recommend it to my friends and family.
Séjour très agréable : Andrea était en voyage en Inde, mais Dimitri qui s'occupe de recevoir les hôtes était très chaleureux et (website hidden)ès bon accueil. Maison agréable et très bien située à 50 mètres du vaporetto. Lit confortable. Petit déjeuner simple.
