A large, comfortable, quiet, cozy, eclectic apt in the fab Highlands! Close to so many good restaurants, bars, bookstores, cafes, etc. A great place for a couple seeking a romantic place to stay, or a group of friends meeting up for the wkend
First of all, whatever response percentage airbnb has given to me isn't very accurate. I respond to all emails within 2 hours, I promise.
I'm offering my wonderfully charming, quiet, and spacious 1 bedroom apartment in the heart of Louisville!
The apt has a kind of eclectic, playful, comfortable, and sophisticated feel. It sits on the second floor of an older building that has been converted into four apartments. It's a place with a lot of charm, character, and warmth!
The apartment has a large bedroom with a queen bed, and a very sizable living room with a very comfortable fold out couch that becomes another queen bed. Please note that accommodating 4 means that I have 2 available beds to use/share between 1-4 people (unless other specific arrangements are made ahead of time).
The bathroom has a shower/bathtub. A/C is available in the bedroom and living-the unit in the bedroom is brand new! It has two balconies, one overlooking the beautiful Highlands. The kitchen is cute, smallish, and fully functional for any kind of meal preparation. I am the only one located on the second floor, so the apartment is very peaceful.
Free parking available in the back of the building! I always leave coffee for the morning, and drinks in the fridge for all guests.
I would be happy to host you in my home, and provide you with any additional information in order to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! I love giving recommendations!
I am not present at the apartment during your stay. I usually try to meet guests with the key (if I'm not able to meet guests when they arrive then I leave very detailed instructions) and/or before check-out, and I'm very much available at anytime via phone to answer any questions.
The neighborhood is fantastic!! It can't be beat, actually. It's located a block from The Tap Room, Holy Grale/Holy Graus, El Camino, Flanagan's, Monkey Wrench, Hammerheads, Nach Bar, and other great bars and restaurants. There's also fantastic nightlife activities within a short walking distance (bookstores, movie theatre, nightclubs, coffee shops, a local movie store, a grocery store, Walgreen's). Honestly, I cannot overemphasize how wonderful the location is for anyone who is looking for a neighborhood feel with all the urban fixins. It's also a 10-12 minute drive to Churchill Downs, and a 5-10 minute drive/bike ride to downtown/Greyhound bus station.
There are bus stops going in every direction a block from the apartment.
Sara's place was great! She was very accommodating with our travel plans, and was a superb host. She even provided us with some sodas and juice.
The house is in an awesome part of Louisville -- think a mix of the Castro in SF and Austin -- and had many great bars and restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!
Sara is a thoughtful, gracious, communicative host. Her apartment was the perfect place for our long weekend in Louisville. It's clean, charmingly decorated, and in a fantastic neighborhood. Spacious, bright and comfortable. Sara left us drinks in the fridge, great notes about the apt and the area, and was more easygoing about my delayed flight than I was. Definitely recommend.
Sara's place was spectacular. Great bed, quiet, and relaxing space to call home for our Louisville adventures. The apartment is in a great location, very close to a bunch of great places in town including a great nightlife just a block or two from the apartment. Sara was an awesome host, with drinks waiting in the fridge for us on arrival and working with us to get us the keys even though our plans were pretty loose. Sara was also very easy to get a hold of while we were there and had great insight for activities to keep us busy.
Sara was a great host, setting us up with a lot of good info about the neighborhood, drinks in the fridge, and a tidy and comfortable home for the night. The neighborhood is walkable and full of interesting spots to check out. Overall, a great place & a great host! Thanks, Sara!
Very clean, excellent location, comfortable bed.
Sara was a gracious host and delivered the key to me as I got into
Town late and she came to my function to drop key.
Sara's place was amazing. It is comfy and interesting and located in a great neighborhood. Sara was incredibly accommodating, and even left us a few drinks upon our arrival! I would recommend her place to anyone visiting Louisville.
loved staying at Sara's place! so close to so many great bars and restaurants and pretty centrally located in Louisville. her apartment was really eclectic and cozy, just as advertised, and she was a great hostess - easy to get in touch with and so accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and loved getting to know this part of town!
Sara's apartment is beautiful and clean, and she is a wonderful host - she always promptly responded to any questions I may have had. She made great suggestions of places to visit in the area, a few of which we went to and loved! Her apartment is in a gorgeous neighborhood, and within walking distance to many bars and restaurants. This is a fantastic home base for anyone visiting Louisville!
Sara was a gracious host with a lovely apartment. We had a perfect stay and will be back again in the future. If you're looking for a cozy and unique apartment that's priced fairly and walkable to some great restaurants and bars in Louisville, look no further.
Sara's place was everything we expected and honestly it exceeded our expectations. We were in town for only a weekend, but we had a great couple of days in Louisville. Sara was easy to get in touch with. She met us at the apartment when we arrived, gave us a tour of the place and even provided us with beer and sodas in the fridge! Her place is incredibly spacious and the neighborhood is great. We were a 5 minute walk from Bardstown St. where a ton of hip new eateries and bars are and we were only a 10 minute drive from getting downtown. For our second AirBnB experience, I don't think we could have asked for a better host. Sara rocks!
