Dick and M-E are very nice and interesting people, we enjoyed staying with them.
Dick and M-E are wonderful and caring hosts! They made sure we were cared for, with a delicious breakfast in the morning, lots of stories to share and great tips around the area. Their home is lovely, carefully decorated and full of family memories, with a jaw-dropping background. The pictures do no justice to how gorgeous it all is, from the mountains to the walls and furniture. It was hard to pack our bags and leave such a delightful experience. Oh and the llamas were an entertaining plus! You definitely should do yourselves a favor and book a few days with this lovely couple. We're looking forward to coming back.
Expectations were exceeded! M-E was a wonderful host, and the room and house are exactly as described: clean, comfortable/spacious, and in a great location for exploring the surrounding area within a charming Colorado town. She had a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit and homemade blueberry banana bread with coffee set out for us in the morning, and we really appreciated her accommodation/understanding for our unexpectedly late arrival the night before. We also really enjoyed the "cherry-on-top amenities": gorgeous views from the upstairs deck, complete with llamas (which our 16-month old particularly loved) and mini garden/pond area in the backyard, hummingbirds on the back patio, and hot air balloons taking off in the distance!
Delightful and savvy individuals. They could offer a camp to parents teaching practical child rearing skills of common sense
and independence. Great people, great place! Just too close to Hwy 550 for my comfort. If you're not over sensitive to noise, it's a visually pleasant experience.
We had a wonderful overnight stay. Dick and M-E were very welcoming and we felt right at home. And the location and views are great!
Dick and M E were incredible, gracious hosts. We were treated exceptionally well (no small feat for them, considering the situations they were juggling), and given wonderful accommodations.
