  • We had a lovely stay in Riad du Bonheur (that was a bit confusing: the name and owner changed, so Leah sent us a mail that Alexandre would contact us, which he did, but he only emailed us, the actual hosts of the Riad were the adorable Rachida and Abdul) We arrived later than expected and Rachida welcomed us very friendly with a cup of tea.
You can have breakfast but we thought it wasn't worth the price (€4 per person, but you only get 1 Moroccan pancake with juice and coffee)
The room we got was perfect, but It wasnt the one on the pictures.
We would recommend this place: It is quiet, peaceful and just beautiful and staff is very friendly and willing to help (only French speaking)

    Response from Leah:

Alexandre is the new owner of the Riad and he lives in France. Rachida and Abdul are currently the hosts in his absence. I was unaware that you did not get the room you requested!! This is highly unusual as we have never had such a situation at the riad. I lived there up until February of 2014 and guests always had the room they booked!! I have been informed that as a result of your comments on the breakfast the breakfasts have been revised and vastly improved!! I thank you for your feedback and sincerely hope you come to stay again!!

  • Leah's place was wonderful, we had a great time there. Both Dila and Rachida were friendly, helpful, and very, very kind. They offered us tea and refreshments, maps and city guides, and were attentive to any requirements. The room was beautiful, nicely decorated, and very clean. And the terrace on the top, where breakfast is served, was great: lots of flowers and the sound of water below… excellent! Further, the location is very convenient, a few minutes on foot from the zouks and the market streets, and very easy to find with the instructions they provide. A special place, we'll surely come back.

  • Leah was a fantastic host - helpful in all ways possible. She arranged airport pick up, provided maps and local knowledge and most of all offered wonderful accommodation in a fantastic part of Marrakesh.

A pleausure! You are always welcome :-)

  • We had an absolutely lovely time and recommend this without hesitation. Leah and her husband were just great and gave us lots of support -- arranged a transfer, met us even though our plane was late, gave us loads of advice and help, which was fantastic for getting your bearings in this wonderful city. The house and room were lovely: spotlessly clean, calm, and still atmospheric, and we adored the roof terrace, especially during the call to prayer… Would love to be there right now.

  • To sum it us, for us it was the perfect place to stay in Marrakesh. Leahs riad is calm and comfy place in the busy medina very well located.

The room and the house are fabulous and Leah provides lots of useful information and tips about Morocco (lifestyle, culture, countryside, ...) and the city.

  • We had a great time staying with Leah and her husbond in Marrakech. The house was great and everything was available for using. Some days we used the kitchen for cooking and other days we went out to restaurants (Leah recommended some good ones). She was very helpfull in generel and the house was nice, clean and with a good atmosphere.

  • The location is perfect, just as the room. It was very clean, we could use the kitchen and cook our own meals and the rooftop terrace was just great! Leah was very nice and gave us many tips on where to go and what to see. I can only recommend her home, we had the best time in Marrakesh!

  • Leah`s Riad is a very beautiful & relaxing place! Our room was wonderful and spotless clean. Leah is a very relaxed, helpful and authentic person who provided us with plenty of hints to explore Marrakesh a better way.
The Riad itself is very well situated it is easy to find as it is not right inside the middle of the medina, which is very helpful in Marrakech if you don't want to stroll around searching in the evening when you want to come home. Nevertheless all the main attractions in the medina are very easy to reach by foot.
We really enjoyed our stay here, nothing to weigh down!

I'm Leah originally from Australia I lived for 14 years in Florence, Italy where I still have active contacts. For the past year I have lived in Marrakech, Morocco a vibrant town pulsating in exotic sounds and sites. I love living here; the people, the food, the landscape, the religion, the architecture and the music... Travel expands our life experience, paradoxically encountering people and places out of our daily routines and comfort zones increases understanding of ourselves and those close to us...
