We are responsive and attentive hosts, always happy to give tips on the neighborhood and New York in general. We want to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. I speak Spanish, my wife speaks Italian and we have been happy New Yorkers for many, many years.

All questions are welcome, thanks for looking!

Eric and Rachael

Guests have access to the backyard, the front stoop, laundry (for a small additional fee), and anything that's in the apartment.

We like to greet our guests either when they arrive or shortly after they've moved in. After that, we're happy to chit-chat with guests, or not. We live right upstairs so sometimes we bump into guests and end up talking for awhile. We've had guests who invited us into the apartment for a glass of wine and we had a lovely time. It completely depends on what the guests want.

  • Firstly, the flat is fantastic - it's big, comfortable, beautiful and has everything you could possibly need, from cutlery to toilet rolls. Crown Heights is beautiful and the subway's really just around the corner.

Secondly, Eric and Rachael are really lovely and attentive hosts (they even left us a bottle of wine for our first night in NYC), who were always happy to answer questions and help my partner and me with practical things. This was brilliant when my partner broke his foot halfway through our trip - they recommended a hospital to us, which was very helpful since we hadn't a clue where to go and always made certain that we had everything we needed. Thanks for everything!

  • The apartment was extremely clean and comfy. It was also very tasteful and Eric was very available. We stayed only one night but the experience was excellent!

  • Our stay at Eric's apartment was fantastic. Eric and Rachel were really friendly and excellent hosts, happy to help us with any questions we had. The apartment is in a nice area of Crown Heights with easy access to Franklin Ave and to the Subway on Nostrand Ave. We felt very safe walking through the neighbourhood and felt very at home. Eric has left a guidebook with lots of information of the neighbourhood, we particularly found the food recommendations helpful. There were also a few guidebooks in the apartment to browse through. The apartment itself looks just like the pictures, and was very clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook each day and we found the ice maker came in handy for keeping cool with a few drinks. The Apple TV got a lot of use and admittedly we spent many lazy days lounging in the apartment versus exploring Brooklyn. It was a lovely walk along Eastern Parkway to explore the Botanical Gardens, the museum and Prospect Park. Check out the food truck festival on Sundays. This was our first airbnb experience and we were blown away by how great it was, by their hospitality and how comfortable we felt compared to having stayed in a hotel. Thanks again Eric and Rachel!

  • Lovely spacious apartment which is an oasis of calm to return to after a hectic day of sightseeing. If only we had been there longer we would have managed to sample all the local bars / restaurants Eric and Rachael had recommended locally. Nice quiet street but only a few minutes no nearest subway, a perfect location.

  • This renovated brownstone apartment is spacious, clean, well-equipped, quiet, comfortable and perfect for us because in addition to going into Manhattan we spent time with our daughter, who lives a few blocks away. It's an easy walk to the Brooklyn Museum of Art and Botanic Gardens--both gems. Eric is a gracious and responsive host, available to answer questions or solve problems. (Like how to operate an Apple TV.) It appears this area of Crown Heights is one of many being upgraded in Brooklyn. We had time to sample only a few of its restaurants and shops. We'd love to make another visit and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

  • The apartment was perfect for our three week stay in NYC. Spacious, clean, fully equipped and just as the photos show. The location was perfect, with lots of interesting places to eat in the neighborhood and great proximity to subway stations and bus routes. Eric and Rachael were excellent hosts, attentive but never intrusive. We would definitely stay again.

  • I truly enjoyed my stay in Eric's brownstone apartment. It looks just like the pictures. Eric was a great attentive host. I would definitely like to recommend his apartment to anyone looking for something more affordable than staying in a hotel and looking for a great location to stay in Brooklyn. Thank you Eric for everything!
