Interaction with Guests
We like to greet our guests either when they arrive or shortly after they've moved in. After that, we're happy to chit-chat with guests, or not. We live right upstairs so sometimes we bump into guests and end up talking for awhile. We've had guests who invited us into the apartment for a glass of wine and we had a lovely time. It all depends on what the guests want.
We are responsive and attentive hosts, always happy to give tips on the neighborhood and New York in general. We want to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. I speak Spanish, my wife speaks Italian and we have been happy New Yorkers for many, many years.
Crown Heights is one of the most beautiful, exciting, artistic and safest neighborhoods in Brooklyn. The flat is a ten minute walk from Franklin Avenue, the center of Crown Heights, where you'll find many of Brooklyn's most exciting new bars and restaurants. There are bagel shops, cafes, and grocery stores just a block away from us.
A charming walk up beautiful Eastern Parkway are many of Brooklyn's best attractions including the Brooklyn Museum, Botanic Gardens, and Prospect Park. The Brooklyn Children's Museum is right around the corner from our place.
We are a five minute walk from the 3 train at Nostrand Avenue and the 2 and 5 trains at President Street. It takes approximately 40 minutes, door to door, to get from the apartment to Times Square. It takes 45 minutes to get from our place to Central Park.
There is plenty of free, on-street parking right in front of our house.
By cab, the apartment is 25-30 minutes from Laguardia Airport and 40-50 minutes from JFK, depending on traffic.
No smoking, pets, parties or loud music. Please be courteous and polite to our neighbors. Guests can use the back garden, unless we have informed them ahead of time that we'll be using it. Guests are also welcome to sit on the front stoop and enjoy the block's ambience. Enjoy the wonderful neighborhood, with all its extraordinary culture, great food, and lovely greenery.
Staying at Eric's apartment was an absolute pleasure. The apartment is huge! A great kitchen, lovely big bathroom, comfortable bed.
We were greeted with a personalised letter and snacks. There was also a great booklet of information about the area (we tried a lot of the restaurant recommendations and they are all fantastic!). The apartment is in a excellent area, just a short walk from the subway. Eric was a lovely host - friendly, welcoming, always contactable and replies to messages straight away. After our 8 day stay we were very sad to leave. Highly recommended! Thanks Eric!
Our stay at Eric's apartment was absolutely fantastic! The place was very clean and spacious and had just about everything we needed. We felt at home with the lovely ambiance of the apartment itself and the neighborhood (there were a lot of good places to go to nearby that our 3 night stay wasn't enough). And Eric has been nothing but helpful and responsive all throughout, especially when we needed to ask about the cold water. All in all, we loved everything about our stay that it didn't matter that it's winter. We're definitely going back in summer!
We had a Great Time in New York. Erics flat was the best thing, that we Could have. It was Really Big and Equipped with Everything You Need. The flat is in brooklyn and we loved this area, it's Not too touristic. To Manhattan you need about 40 min from door-to-door. We always Could Text Eric with our questions. All in all we Really recommend Erics flat.
Our stay with Eric and his gorgeous family was one of our best air bnb experiences. The place was beautiful, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Eric gave great advice as to where to go and what to see, there was also a recommendations book in the apartment for local restaurants and things to do etc. We 100% recommend it for a stay!
Eric was a great host, very responsive and ready to find a solution to any little problem that presented itself. The place itself was immaculate, and very spacious (more than what the photos convey). The heating was great (unlike many NY places it was not suffocatingly hot) except in the bathroom, whose radiator was not working (but Eric provided a small space heater that made it usable). I'm sure Eric will find a way to make that heater work for the next guest. The location of the flat is great, short walking distance from Norstrand and from Franklin, where there are a great variety of produce stores, markets, restaurants and coffee houses. It will be the first place I'll try to get next time I travel to Brooklyn.
The appartment is really (!) beautiful, clean and... large (impressive !). Really nice area in Brooklyn, nice style of the houses. Last but not least, Eric is super friendly and helpful. I highly advise this address.
We had a great stay at this beautiful and clean place. With this well equipped kitchen it was easy to cook and the bed is very comfortable.Eric was so welcoming and helpful with check in and any questions.I would definitely stay here next time I visit and recommend it to my friends.
