Interaction with Guests
We like to greet our guests either when they arrive or shortly after they've moved in. After that, we're happy to chit-chat with guests, or not. We live right upstairs so sometimes we bump into guests and end up talking for awhile. We've had guests who invited us into the apartment for a glass of wine and we had a lovely time. It all depends on what the guests want.
We are responsive and attentive hosts, always happy to give tips on the neighborhood and New York in general. We want to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. I speak Spanish, my wife speaks Italian and we have been happy New Yorkers for many, many years.
Crown Heights is one of the most beautiful, exciting, artistic and safest neighborhoods in Brooklyn. The flat is a ten minute walk from Franklin Avenue, the center of Crown Heights, where you'll find many of Brooklyn's most exciting new bars and restaurants. There are bagel shops, cafes, and grocery stores just a block away from us.
A charming walk up beautiful Eastern Parkway are many of Brooklyn's best attractions including the Brooklyn Museum, Botanic Gardens, and Prospect Park. The Brooklyn Children's Museum is right around the corner from our place.
We are a five minute walk from the 3 train at Nostrand Avenue and the 2 and 5 trains at President Street. It takes approximately 40 minutes, door to door, to get from the apartment to Times Square. It takes 45 minutes to get from our place to Central Park.
There is plenty of free, on-street parking right in front of our house.
By cab, the apartment is 25-30 minutes from Laguardia Airport and 40-50 minutes from JFK, depending on traffic.
No smoking, pets, parties or loud music. Please be courteous and polite to our neighbors. Guests can use the back garden, unless we have informed them ahead of time that we'll be using it. Guests are also welcome to sit on the front stoop and enjoy the block's ambience. Enjoy the wonderful neighborhood, with all its extraordinary culture, great food, and lovely greenery.
I had a great stay with Eric and Rachel. They were wonderful hosts. Everything was as described and they were just lovely.
Die Unterkunft war super! Gut ausgestattet und sauber, in einer schönen Straße, ruhig und einfach schön. 100% weiterzuempfehlen. Und die Gastgeber: wunderbar!
I had a great time at Eric's place, it was clean, big and lots of parking right next to it. The apt has all the equipment we needed to make awesome breakfasts and dinner for the three of us, very close to the metro ( about 2 blocks). The check in and out was easy as 123. The communication with eric was easy, he and his wife were very nice and welcoming
We really enjoyed our stay in Erics Apartment. The Apartment was very niche and very clean. Eric provided a list with coffee Shops and restaurants in the neigbourhood and every place we have tried was very good. The subway is close and it takes around 25 minutes to get to Manhattan. Eric was very supportive and available for questions all the time. We can highly recommend this place for a trip to New York!
My future in-laws stayed at Eric's flat for our wedding weekend. They absolutely loved the apartment. It was clean with a large bathroom and super convenient. They were comfortable and would stay again during their next visit.
I had a great experience at Eric's apartment, it was clean and very spacious, and my wife and I felt very comfortable there. Almost like a home away from home. Eric was a really great host, we didn't really need to contact him for anything but he made sure we were aware that he was only a call or email away if we needed him. The subway was only a short walk away and the area was very easy to navigate as well as being quite close to some of Brooklyn's main attractions: the Brooklyn Museum, the Botanic Gardens and the Brooklyn Children's Museum. Eric also provided some detailed information about the area and some great recommendations of places to eat and visit during our stay. Thanks very much for having us Eric.
I can highly recommend this apartment! Eric is such a nice host and everything was perfect: The communication before our stay was very friendly and after our arrival Eric wanted to make sure we had everything we needed.
The neighbourhood is very nice: you only walk a few minutes to the subway and you can find everything you need in walking distance around the apartment. If you don't know where to go you can have a look at Eric's recommendations you find in the apartment.
All in all, this is the perfect place to stay in Brooklyn!
