About this listing
Hidden on the North African coastline, looking out onto the Straits of Gibraltar is a beautiful, secluded, picture perfect beach, Playa Blanca. The bay faces North West which results in lovely cool mornings and spectacular evening sunsets. Only 10km East of historic Tangier, this is the perfect base to explore the vibrant, fascinating and truly different culture of North Morocco.
This house is all about location being situated just metres from this beautiful beach. A careful mix of Moroccan and European design can be found in all of it's rooms. With a bedroom and bathroom on each of the three floors this house provides very flexible and easily split accommodation. The house benefits from a range of outside spaces from a small cosy terrace on the beach level, a large terrace overlooking the sea to a private secret garden hidden on the roof.
Small outside terrace
Studio flat double bedroom with kitchenette
En-suite traditional Hamman style bathroom
Fully equipped kitchen with a six ring range cooker
Living room with sofa-bed and large panoramic windows overlooking the beach
Large front terrace overlooking the beach
Double bedroom with double doors onto front terrace
Private walled garden looking out onto the cliffs behind
(Please note all the beds can be split into singles, or put together for doubles)
The beach is quiet most of the year, but it is popular with tourists and locals in the high summer. The bay is accessed via a steep and often pot-marked road so we do advise that a car is helpful if you want to do some exploring. However you can get one of Tangier's Grand Taxi to drop off and pick up from the beach for around 300dhs (30€).
There are plenty of nearby attractions such as M'nar park, a water/theme park which is just 3km away. This is also your nearest shop in the low seasons. However in the summer there are cafes, restaurants and a little shop on the beach itself.
Our agent is a English chap called Lennie. He can arrange for a daily maid and cook. This is often the lovely Souad, who is his sister in law, she cooks a delicious Tangine, and comes highly recommended.
We want you to have a lovely relaxing holiday, enjoy our house and treat as if it were your own.
To help you do this there are a few things about our property to note:
We do not run on mains water or sewage. Our water is tanked in so please use it sparingly.
Please do not throw anything other than paper in the toliets.
About the Host, Lara
Hi I'm Lara!
I am the rental booking manager for our holiday houses in Morocco. The houses actually belong to my lovely mum Val, but I do all the bookings for her! I have a passion for Morocco that started back in 2005 when we first brought the houses. I am slowly learning Arabic and try to get out to the houses as much as possible. We use the lovely Lennie to help us on the ground In Morocco, as I live in Bristol with my husband Andy and our dog Monty.
When I'm not helping others book a little slice of paradise on the beach in Morocco I love to travel and have been lucky enough to go all over, so I know what people are looking for.
