Other Things to Note
Island of Hvar
We hardly dare tell you what awaits you when you set eyes on Brusje for the first time, for fear of spoiling this spellbinding moment. However, since our job is to provide tourists with information we'll just have to risk it…
Built on the crest of a hilltop and cascading into a valley, the stone village is spectacular enough in itself. But rising from its heart like a delicate stone lily is an ornate bell tower. It's certainly the most ornate and most spectacular campanile on the island, and perhaps for miles around.
Brusje is a rare example of rural Mediterranean architecture absolutely untouched by modern life and in a spectacular setting.
The minimum booking period is 1 night.
Branimir organised everything for us - even when the online ferry booking wasn't working he got it sorted, as well as the scooter. The place was spotless, wine on arrival, recommendation of a secret beach was perfect and then a fantastic fish dinner with a lovely red to go with it! The house itself was great, the view amazing, really we couldn't have asked for anything more and the only disappointment was that we could only fit 1 night in.
Branimir is a kind host and I hope we'll meet again in Hvar. The house has a superb location for all those who want to get away from it all and enjoy the tranquility of the village.
We were also lucky to taste the local grilled fish that Branimir made for us.
The rooms were clean and well-equippped with everything you need for a holiday, but the highlight of the place is the terrace with a fantastic view.
the house is amazing and in a wonderful location. branimir is really kind and helpfull for all information you need. we called him in the morning and we ask him for some fish for bbq. At the end he prepered us and it was just perfect. From the balcony you have a beautifull viw of the sunset. Really raccomanded
With a great pleasure we spent 4 days in the beautiful village of Brusje (5 km from the town of Hvar) in Branimir’s house. The house is quite small but very cozy and authentic, with all necessary for life. Most of the time we spent on the veranda with tables, barbecue and swings. In the evening, where you can watch there the gorgeous sunset. Very quiet around, despite the fact that never sleep Hvar town only a 10-minute drive. Since we were in the car, we visited all the beaches nearby, particularly liked the beach from 4 km Lusice, the road there was quite nervous, but the beach and the views are great. Branimir is very hospitable host. While he was on tour during our stay, our stay was very well organized - from a detailed explanation of how to get there and communication during our stay. Thank you for cooked local fish to our visit). I recommend his house to everyone who wants to enjoy Hvar and at the same time live in a quiet place.
Branimir met us at the bus station and helped us rent a scooter. He went above and beyond the entire time we were there and helped us feel so welcome! The cottage is adorable with the best view and in a nice, quiet village away from the bustle of Hvar Town. By far our best stop in Croatia! Branimir also made us a traditional fish BBQ which was amazing and again, one of our best experiences in Croatia. Don't let the "road is dangerous" review scare you--this place is amazing and Branimir will do everything he can to make you feel welcome!
It was better than I hoped it would be. Very comfortable and done with good taste! Branimir is a great Host who can provide you with fish(even makes it on the BBQ), but also let you do your thing.
Recommend this place to anyone!!!!
