Jati Homestay is a place of peace and harmony. All our rooms face shimmering rice fields and are surrounded by graceful garden. This peaceful place is the perfect setting to immerse your self in nature, beauty and serenity. Our ideal location makes it easy for you to reach the heart of Ubud for shopping, entertainment and world class dinning. Or you can easily escape the hustle and bustle of the small town and stroll through the charming Monkey Forrest.
I had a good experience at Jati's Homestay! It is a gem in the center of Ubud. You get both the quiet and nature-vibe of Ubud while being a few steps away from the busy markets and superb restaurants.
Komang who is part of Dewa's staff, is very friendly and helpful. Nyoman, the driver endorsed by Dewa is also a very nice guy. He was the one who picked me up from the airport and drove me around to see the sights outside Ubud for 2 days.
I only had to adjust with the bathroom which is a bit bare and has a tub with a clogged drain. The room is not well lighted as well. But, for the price I paid, all is good for me!
Will definitely recommend this homestay!
One of my best experience on airbnb, great ratio quality/price, staff members are really amazing. The place is in the full center of Ubud however located in a small and quite paradisiac village. To do not missed!
My stay at Jati was great. I was coming earlier than my original plans and when I asked if I could come earlier he was already full, but Dewa helped set up a place nearby and even took me there. Him and his staff were always helpful with recommendations and getting around.
The Jati homestay was a very pleasant experience for one week in July. The room was comfortable and exactly as pictured and described. The homestay building is within the compound of extended family, and situated in central Ubud with easy access to temples, sites, restaurants and shops. Dewa and his staff were always very welcoming and attentive, most friendly and gracious. Dewa was very available to help with information, transport, excursions, restaurant recommendations and cultural information. His father, Mr. Jati, a noteworthy painter, has a studio and gallery above the restaurant which you can visit. A different breakfast was served each morning on the covered patio surrounded by tropical foliage, flowers, koi pond, fountains and with a view of the adjoining meadow and stream with ducks, backed by tropical forest. The room was situated at the rear of the compound, far from the street sounds. You can wake to a choir of tropical birds, and go to sleep with the chirping of crickets and croaking of frogs, and have the best sleep ever. My visit overlapped with the beginning of Galungan, the most important Hindu holiday when the gods come down to visit, and goodness prevails. The women of the compound spent days carefully preparing colorful offerings. On the first day of Galungan everyone was dressed for temple, a beautiful sight with women in colorful clothing carrying a multitude of offering baskets and the group of young boys, who usually are scampering about, now dressed in crisp white outfits. Ubud was decked out with special decorations. Not to be missed. As Dewa said, "You got the best of Bali", and I am extremely grateful.
The homestay is in an absolute perfect location. Near to the yoga barn and the main road. Dewa was really personable and picked me up from the airport himself. The only downside is not having internet in the room, but there is Internet in the common cafe area.
Nice quiet place to spend a couple of nights. Wi-Fi is available, the speed is average. The only drawback is that walls are quite thin, so you can hear talking in neighbour rooms.
The house is located nearby Ubud center, not far from main attractions and big shops. The hosts are kind and welcoming.
Overall opinion - Jati Homestay has a great value for its price.
