The Jati Homestay (email hidden) to stay in Ubud! It has a perfect location in central Ubud, walking distance to all restaurants, yoga and sacred monkey forest. The staff is super helpful in assisting you organize trips and give you local insight. Room was simple, clean and spacious with a beautiful view of rice fields.. feels like you are staying in the jungle! I had a wonderful experience staying here and would recommend it to any of my friends and family.
A great homestay in central Ubud, close to all major sights.
Stayed here for over a week, was a really great find. Perfect central location, yet quite and beautiful. Dewi is friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was included. Would definitely stay here again.
The accommodation was clean and conveniently located within waking distance to restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and I appreciated that breakfast was included. I especially enjoyed the peace and quiet of living near rice paddies away from the street.
Cute room, clean and basic. Loved the environment with all the paintings.
Dewa was very attentive and helpful to all my questions and requests
Jati Homestay has a wonderful location right in the middle of all the action in Ubud. This is my 2nd stay at Jati, my first visit was pre-Airbnb! Staying here you get a glimpse into how the Balinese live which is a special treat to be able to witness. For instance you will see Dewa's wife in the early AM placing the beautiful offerings that are made with fresh flowers every day to honor the home & other sacred spaces. Or observe this fabulous artist in the family working on a painting in an open air space--so cool!
My room was clean and a delicious breakfast was always provided in the morning. Dewa is wonderful and super helpful with providing information for places to eat, temples to visit and where to go for massage! I hesitate to let you in on the secret so sssh don't tell anyone, but 3points spa has one FABULOUS massage therapist!! :) Dewa speaks English and many other languages although I tried to practice my Bahasa Indonesian with him. Also the fine folks at Jati are implementing a great practice to help save our precious planet--they are composting!!!!! Lastly, this place attracts great guests as on both of my stays here I made friendships with other guests that are still maintained!
I had an excellent experience at Dewa's. Very well located yet peacefully looking at a rice field. Very useful recommendations and nice breakfast too!
I was a bit hesitant book this place as there were no feedbacks written yet, but I checked online and there were plenty of good reviews in tripadvisor etc so I decided to go ahead, and I'm glad I did.
The room is exactly what is shown in the photos. The room and the toilet were clean and they even provided a towel, mat and a new roll of tissue paper. Sheets were clean, mosquito net a plus and the fan in the room was more than enough. Awesome day view too. WiFi was a little weak but still okay; it was strongest at the reception/dining area.
I also liked how everything was nearby: monkey forest, Ubud Palace, Ibu Oka (babi guling!) and Ubud market were about 10-15 minutes walk away only. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops at the main street outside and there's even a supermarket nearby! :D
There was also free breakfast that I didn't know about! Coffee/tea, plate of fruits and a fruit crepe - a pleasant surprise.
Dewa replies to queries and requests very promptly and was very nice in helping to arrange transport. It may be hard to find the place initially so I suggest you arrange a pick up with Dewa directly to avoid any slight inconveniences. In any case, you can easily give your driver the number provided and they can guide you to the right place.
I would go back again the next time I'm in Ubud.
