2b/2b modern condo, super location

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Guerrero Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, United States

The Space

This modern condo (email hidden) and 14th st, which is sandwiched between five most visited neighborhoods: Mission, Castro, Duboce triangle, Hayes Valley and Lower Haight. Walking score 100. There is so much to do in this vibrant neighborhood - easy walk to great restaurants, bars, cafe, grocery stores, valencia corridor, dolores park. As many prior guests commented, this is super convenient location, for both leisure and business travelers. Numerous bus/Tourism trolley/Metro lines are convened here, which can take you to every corner of SF. BART station is 4 blocks away and it is a super convenient and cost effective way for you to go to SFO/OAK airport.

The condo has 2 nice bedrooms on opposite ends of apartment (perfect roommates layout). The master bedroom has one queen bed, big dresser, clothes cabinet in addition to big closet. The second bedroom has a platform queen bed, 6 drawers dresser and mirror, a computer desk with leather chair. Printer and paper shredder are free to use. The place can accommodate 5 people. There is one foldable full size mattress in living room, which can accommodate the 5th guest. Clean towels and bedding, high speed WiFi and unlimited US domestic phone call are included. The rest of the apartment is very neat, clean and elegant. 52' Sony 240Hz HDTV with Netfilx, Hi-Fi Stereo system, beautiful sofa, big dinning table and open style kitchen for your entertainment. Washer/Dryer in unit and you can have your laundry done for free. The apartment also has one big patio facing backyard, which is perfect for sipping coffee, reading. You are welcome to enjoy all amenities in this beautiful apartment. Many prior guests especially like the quietness of this apartment, which is rare in such hectic city center. Also the building is far enough from gritty areas in Mission and you would feel safe enough to walk back even after midnight.

The best way to visit SF is on foot or taking public transportation. This condo is near city center, near Market street, which is the busiest thoroughfare in SF. Many previous guests dodged slow MUNI buses when they were staying here, having been enjoying convenience to walk to most fun places in SF:

walk to Castro/Hays valley/Lower haights 10mins
walk to Civic center/Opera house/Symphony hall 15 mins
walk to downtown/Moscone center 25min
walk to SOMA 15min
walk to MUNI station(Metro, trolley, Bus): 2min
walk to bart station(16st/Mission station): 5min
MUNI/BART to downtown/finanical district : 5min

SF is one of most walkable cities in US, just like european cities. Therefore, I don't suggest you to drive in SF. If you do have a car, free street parking has 2 hours limit in the daytime from Monday to Friday. Unlimited in the evening and on weekend but can be competitive. There are parking lots nearby for $10-$20 daily parking. If you do need a car, there are quite a few zip car/car rental centers within walking distance.

This neighborhood also has good access to freeway 101 and 280 for you to go to Silicon Valley. Many big high tech companies have shuttle stops nearby, like (website hidden), Apple, (website hidden)Lab126, Genentech, etc.

This neighborhood has best weather in SF as well. Especially in summer, more than half of SF is often covered by thick fog, this neighborhood is still sunny. On beautiful weather day, do some people watching and enjoy fabulous SF.

You would never get bored with this neighborhood. Just step out of door, within a few blocks in all directions, you will find tons of restaurants, bars, cafe, gallery, indie theater and other interesting spots, like Mission Beach Cafe, Woodhouse Fish Company, Chow, Little Star Pizza, FourBarrel Coffee, Asta Yoga, Box Dog Bikes, Pauline's pizza, KRUA Thai, Elixir, Andalu, Tokyo gogo, Bi-Rite, Tartine, US Mint, Mission SF De Asis, SF Armory, foodie street Valencia, people beach Dolores park ...........

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • My family of 5 (my mother, my husband, my 4 year old, and my infant) all stayed at Hao's apartment in early October. It was fantastic. I'll get the minor inconveniences out of the way first: we had to pick up the keys from his aunt in an entirely different neighborhood (thankfully, we used to live here, so the driving was painful only because of traffic, not because we didn't know how to go). Also, our AT&T cell phones had almost no reception in the apartment.

The location is spectacular: we walked to our favorite grocery store in the world (Rainbow) so we could cook in the kitchen (which was not spectacularly but adequately stocked with cooking equipment), a fantastic bakery (Tartine), a fantastic playground (Dolores Park), more restaurants than you could shake a stick at, and abundant mass transit lines.

The apartment was clean, tidy, attractive, had great natural light, and allowed us to sleep comfortably (baby in the closet, 4 year old on the futon at the foot of our bed) and entertain our friends when they came to visit us. I feared the neighbors might get annoyed by the sound of occasionally rambunctious children, but no one ever approached us. The humongous TV with every video-streaming service known to man was of particular use with the kids. Wifi was easy access. Elevator has handy with luggage and stroller. And it even had a back patio which we all loved. Some basic foods (ground coffee, cold cereal, OJ, milk) were already stocked, which made the first day easier. As for the price, not only was it cheaper than the 2 hotel rooms we otherwise would have had to rent, all the conveniences of home made the hotel-vs-apt. question no-brainer!

  • I didn't get a chance to meet Hao in person, but we thoroughly enjoyed his apartment in San Francisco. The location was perfect to explore the Mission area, which turned out to be one of our favorite parts of the city! The apartment was clean, spacious, secure and well looked after, and Hao was easy to communicate with. I have no hesitations recommending Hao and his apartment to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay in SF.

  • My sons and I spent 4 nights at Hao's apartment and we were very comfortable indeed. The apartment is well-furnished and contains all the equipment and accessories that anyone might need. The location is excellent - making it very easy to access public transport. The proximity to Market Street is particularly convenient as we could take the tram (the tram stop only being a few minutes walk from the apartment), and we could go all the way to Pier 39 for $2 each! If we are ever lucky enough to visit SF again we'll look out for this apartment again.
