This is a nice independent room attached to our house. Our house is in the lovely and quiet neighborhood of Barrinha. Barrinha is located in Barra da Tijuca and our house is bellow the astonishing mountain of Pedra da Gávea.
Private room in a beautiful architectural house in the middle of Rio de Janeiro's Tropical Forest
Cute bathroom, the room is fully furnished with double bed, wardrobe and a work desk. Wireless internet, AC, cable TV. Outside the room you will have access to a beautiful balcony with an outstanding view from Barra. At the balcony we provide a sink, a microwave oven and a mini-bar. Bed and bathroom linens included. Awesome climbing wall for those who come to Rio for some rock climbing!

The room is independent from our house which is located in a very charming and super safe neighborhood. We are in the middle of the Tijuca's Rain forest, which is the biggest urban forest in the world. If you are keen to nature, you can hike up the road by our door step and you will find hiking to a waterfall and to the summit of Gavea's mountain (pedra da gávea). If you go down to the opposite direction you will find restaurants, markets and commerce. The house is only 15-20 minutes walk distance from Barra's beach, one of Rio's most beautiful.
For those who like outdoor sports, Barrinha is the perfect spot to go. A 15 minutes hike ritgh from our doorstep and you will be at Rio's best sport climbing crag "Barrinha". Famous for the 30 meters overhanging - endurance fest, granite wall. For the rainy days our place have an awesome climbing wall.
We also welcome you to hang out in our pool, and to have a cup of coffee in our beautiful green terrace.
Within walking distance you can take taxis and find a bus stop to go wherever in the city.

1-No food inside the room. You are in the middle of the forest and if you leave crumbs it might attract ants. You can leave your food in the plastic containers provided or on the minibar.
2-We only accept air.bnb guests inside our house. Please don't bring people that you meet during your trip to our house.
3-Please, try to leave your room tidy.
4-Do not leave wet towels over the bed, chair or drawer.
5-Try not to leave hand marks on the walls.
6-Always close the front street door.
7-Only smoke outside the room
8-No drugs are allowed here
9-If you are staying more then a week, we offer a once per week laundry and room service. Our made will be able to clean, dry and iron only 8 pieces per person/room. Max to 8 pieces per room
what we understand by 1 piece:
- 5 pieces of underwear = 1 piece
- 4 pair of socks = 1 piece
- 1 pair of paints = 1 piece
- 1 shirt = 1 piece
- 1 blouse = 1 piece

Great neighborhood of Rio, next to a hike to the the most beautiful view of the city. Gorgeous house at the border of the "jungle". Very clean too. Thiago and his wife we very welcoming and helpful.
This was such a great location for our trip. We were within walking distance to a great wall for climbing,and only a 10 minutes drive from the beach and nice parts of downtown Rio. The neighbor is really cute, I always felt safe and you're right on the edge of the Tijuca forest with amazing hikes and beautiful surroundings, not much more you could ask for!
Thiago and his wife were extremely accommodating and helped us out with anything we needed while we were there. I can't wait to come back and visit again!
