I`m very happy, cause I left my hometown & found me a beautiful, peaceful place in Bali, Ubud! I call it: "MY SECRET", because nobody (at home) knows about it & my inner feelings... Was so fed up with my job in Germany & with the stressful lifestyle one is forced to live in the western hemnisphere!
HERE- I `m finding my new freedom & at the same time "go for new adventures/experiences"! I Have A LOT OF ROOM -in my heart (for good conversations) & actually in my place (there is 4 studios!) and I´m willing to rent them out. So, if you wanna join me in living a "better life", YOU are VERY WELCOMED! Enjoy a new house with tropical garden located in the ricefield & at the same time close to Ubud-mainroad (walking distance!) & ENJOY to mix with people from other nationalities. You´ll have a nice, clean studio (terrace, large room, kingsize bed or 2 single ones and your own kitchen & bathroom, hot water, free WIFI).
NEW: Every bed has a mosquitonet!
A meeting-point is our "Joglo" (javanese gazebo) in the garden, for a chat with others or to enjoy the tropical garden.
The garden & the "Joglo" is an open area, accessable to all guests.
There you can meet people from different nationalities & have exchange, if you like. If you want peace & quiet you can relax in your own terrace and studio.
The hosts, Monika (Germany) and Hani (Egypt) & her staff are open for all questions you might wanna ask and are eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible!
Ubud is called "the heart of Bali". It is a small city, famous for art, handicraft & liturature. Also many people meet here for YOGA-sessions & healthy, organic food.
There are plenty of restaurants, bars and other attractions, some with live music or other entertainment. To see the BALI-temple-dance is a must! Most of all, you ought to see the beautiful landscape, the flora & fauna. Many tours are offered to visit the surrounding places, temples, riceterraces, etc.
Bike-riding, river-rafting and healing water dwells are also attractions you might want to try.
The main transport-vehicle is a motorbike one can rent. But also Taxis with drivers are available to drive you to your point of interest.
The currency is indonesian Rupiah. 100 $ = 1.200000 Rupiah. It is a bit confusing at first to deal with all the millions in your wallet. But soon you `ll get used to it.
Like you `ll get used to "the balinese lifestyle".
PLEASE WRITE ME, if interested & get ready to COME AND JOIN ME/US!
The apartment is located in a beautiful rice field not far from the Ubud main road. It's really well designed, the staff is helpful. Excellent place for a short stay!
What a great place! We would have loved to stay for longer. The view is great. Its absoultey clean and light. The house was fully booked but everone was really nice and respectful to the others.
Had a really great view overlooking the rice paddy fields and it was also away from town - a plus because it was quiet and homely, not so good for getting to town quickly without bike/scooter. Great service though, Hani was patient and helpful throughout our stay, helping us when we got lost in town etc. Clean place, located opp a convenient supermarket, wi-fi can be abit sporadic though. Overall charming place, would visit again!
great room, brand new with mini fridge. literally next to the rice fields. It is a 10-15 min walk to the center, easier if you have a scooter.
We had a wonderful stay in this studio in Ubud! It was absolutely clean, had everything you need for a comfortable stay and had a peaceful atmosphere.
It was a bit outside of the center but that was the best part of it! Having beautiful ricefields in front of the house and the quietness of the countryside, but still being able to get in town easily. There is a lovely laundry service on the other side of the street.
There is a magnificent little organic Restaurant called "Abedo" very close to the studio.
We absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a nice relaxing stay in Ubud.
Thanks for the wonderful place to stay, tucked away from shops and cafes, it is still very close to center of Ubud. Nice, scenic 5 minute scooter ride to get there but definitely good location to disconnect. Everything was well arranged, the pickup at airport worked out well and we got lot of good tips on places to see/eat and route to closest pool. Place itself seems to be freshly built and has everything you might need. We enjoyed our stay there. Thanks again!
My friend Afra and I lived in "My Secret" when we visited Ubud and really in love with this guesthouse. We really hoped to stay longer, and wish to meet Monika, but unfortunately we have to leave early for works. I will come back again for my next Ubud trips:)
A wonderful home with a wonderful host. Although Monika was not around during my stay, she made sure all things went well - from arranging a pickup to settling a neighbor's noisy ac compressor. Her able assistant Wayan also offered great assistance whenever needed. The room is clean, large and comfy. While the neighborhood is pleasant. Recommended!
A really lovely place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle. The room was really well maintained and really comfortable - it was lovely to have the verandah and garden area to relax in before starting the day, or finishing it. Wayan and Ketut were very cheerful and helpful, and it was great to chat to the other guests. Although Monika was not in Ubud at the time, she was easily contacted by email for any questions. I would happily stay here again, and recommend it. Some people may like to have a scooter staying here, as the walk into the centre of Ubud takes about 30 minutes, but it's a pleasant walk and so I didn't mind.
All in all, a great place :-)
