Description

The space

Welcome to our Home! Our 3 family home is located on Kennedy Boulevard East with an easy commute into the New York City/Times Square area via the Lincoln Tunnel. We offer a newly renovated fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment with a direct and amazing view of New York City and the Hudson River. This apartment has its own entrance, so it is not shared, meaning the entire third floor is private. We are elevated at cliff level with a wonderful running/walking path and relaxing parks right across the street from our home.

The property has an onsite day spa with a New Jersey/New York State licensed massage therapist who works by appointment. Specialties range from Swedish, Deep Tissue, Foot Reflexology, and Prenatal Massage, as well as Spa Treatments

Our rental apartment is very comfortable and welcoming. We have furnished the apartment in a combination of light and warm tones with room to breath and good feng shui energy.

The 3 main rooms (bedrooms and living room) each have air conditioning as well as ceiling fans with lighting in those rooms as well as the dining room. The bathroom has a full shower and tub. The living room has a 37” flat screen TV and Wi-Fi is complimentary. The bedrooms also have flat screen TV's. Additionally, you can look forward to enjoying the exceptional view of NYC while unwinding in the living room at the end of a long day.

There is a master bedroom with a queen size bed and walk-in closet and a second bedroom with a queen size bed as well. The bedrooms are very cozy. The mattresses are firm and comfortable and hygiene is of the utmost importance.

You have a variety of dining options locally ranging from Italian, Mexican, Latin style, Cuban, Mediterranean, Indian and Deli style cafes. For those who prefer to dine in, the dining room seats six and is connected to a full kitchen with available cookware and tableware. Within walking distance you will find grocery stores and smaller local stores for food items as well as liquor stores. Please let us know if you have special dietary needs and would like a few items stocked in your home (gluten free items, dairy free items, sugar free, etc).

Buses and Commuter Vans run consistently throughout the day (as often as every 10 minutes) starting very early in the morning for working commuters as well as running late into the night for tourists and locals. A faster commute option which is only a short walk away is the NY Waterway Ferry system allowing you to ferry on the Hudson River to different parts of Manhattan in a matter of minutes as well as offering dramatic close up views of Manhattan. Once you arrive on the Manhattan side, the ferry ticket price includes a ferry bus ride to some areas of interest in New York City, or you could simply take a taxi.

*Starting October 2013 there will be onsite parking at an additional rate. Please contact me for more information.

In the Autumn you can enjoy the beautiful foliage, the leaves change to amazing orange, red and yellow colors. In December, the Holiday decorations, especially in NYC is a must see!

This is our family home and we hope you will feel comfortable and peaceful while staying with us. We believe that if we reflect positive energy and respect our guests through hospitality and a well maintained environment, in return we will receive guests who will respect our home as well. It is our hope that we can offer you the calm after a long day of sightseeing, entertaining, or lengthy day at work so you can be energized for another wonderful day!

A great place to stay, with a great view of the NYC skyline and a perfect location -- Midtown is just a few minutes ferry ride or a short drive thru Lincoln tunnel. Kerry was an excellent host, I'd be happy to come back again...

The 5 star reviews from other guests speak for themselves. My bestie and I were looking for a central place to base ourselves while exploring NYC - it was the reviews from previous guests that influenced our decision and we weren't disappointed. The accommodation (and magnificent views) lived up to expectations. It was worth staying just for the sweeping city views of Manhattan alone - everything else was an added bonus. Bus ride into city is short and it's worth catching the ferry at least once as it's makes for spectacular photographs. Accommodation is perfect for singles, couples and families and all amenities are catered for. NOTE: The stairway to top floor is steep - I believe this may be covered in information host provides, however well worth mentioning if bringing heavy luggage or experiencing walking difficulties. Host did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and was quick with responding to questions. TIP: The host is a licenced massage therapist and has a health spa onsite. My bestie and I ended up having 2 massages each - one at the beginning of our stay and the other on the day we left. Kerry was professional, experienced and well worth the investment (we would have booked one every day if we had the time - she is that good!)

Kerry was a fantastic host. The only issue we had was parking but we had 4 cars so understandable. I highly recommend this place!

Kerry has been a fantastic host. She left lots of info in the apartment about what to do and getting around in New York, there were a few little extras left in the kitchen (ie bread, milk, butter, jam etc) that made our stay that much more comfortable. The apartment was warm, clean and spacious... And what a breathtaking view of New York city from the lounge! If and when we go back, Kerry will be our first port of call. Thanks again Kerry!

Awesome view, easy to catch transportation into town though the Lincoln Tunnel could add an extra 30mins at typical heavy time. Apmt is very nice, Kerry even stock items into the fridge for us too. Thanks! Awesome host, quite responsive and caring.

Communication with Kerry was fast and she answered all questions quickly. We had a long transfer in from JFK owing to traffic and Kerry offered to get additional supplies which was lovely. The apartment is fantastic, extremely clean and spacious. The views are unbelievable! To wake up to that every morning was so special. Kerry left both dairy and non dairy milk for us, bread and jam, coffee and tea and other basic supplies. Such a nice touch. Coffee machine is brilliant. Interaction with Kerry was mostly via airbnb message which was exactly how we liked it. We were left to get on with our holiday but Kerry was available immediately via if we needed. I cannot recommend Kerry as a host or Kerry as a guest highly enough. Get the ferry 7 day pass for $76 to midtown, 8 mins, every 10/20 mins peak/off peak then get on the ferry bus to the various areas of nanhatten. Also try the local area restaurants...we went to the Mexican down the road, ordered Chinese...was all great and cheaper than NYC prices. It has a real sense of community and feels very safe. The local jogging routes are amazing with views to match! (Sorry we got up so early but we couldn't miss running at sun rise!) Wonderful stay, wonderful memories..Thank you Kerry!
