Nestled a short stroll from the beach and all of the amenities that Coronado offers, you’ll discover an enclave of four vacation homes surrounding a refreshing pool and flourishing gardens. These homes offer the perfect choice for your vacation.
Coronado is a great beach community in Panama, with a vibrant expat community, surfing, golfing.. horseback riding, great restaurants and grocery shopping centers, and only 1hour and 15 minute drive from the city! (I have Panama City apartment rentals also)
1. The home - KICK BACK PAD - One bedroom with Queen AND double, private bath, and full use of home amenities. Kitchen and back deck/garden may be shared with owner, when I am there - but I travel alot. Can offer discounts based on length of stay etc.. email me please. Also, this property will be discounted and length of stay could be less than the minimum, if I happen to be staying in the home at that time. in this case, it would be a shared situation, ie.. "Private Room" (which applies to this particular listing) instead of "Entire home/apt". Even if shared, you have your own room and own bathroom.
Please see my other listing called Kick Back Pad-Prv. Proprty nr beach for better photos.
Here is more info for you about my Coronado property:
In the evening, the garden is romantically lit and coloured lights shine from the palms. It's very quiet and relaxing -- and it's lovely waking to the sounds of Coronado birds, watching the butterflies and hummingbirds in the flowers.
The hotel/golf course is an easy walk (3 blocks) and the beach is only about 2 blocks away.
Private 1 bedroom (with Queen AND double bed), full bath (shower/hot water).. fully equipped kitchen including ice maker, gas stove, blender, full fridge and freezer, all pots/pans etc. Living room with large tv and extra cable channels.
Wireless internet, high speed access
games such as darts / ping pong
cell phone provided for your use
lovely big pool in backyard, hammocks, chairs/table etc in garden
Washing machine on site.
The property is only 3 blocks from the hotel/golf course, and about 2
blocks from the beach.
Basically, the property has a 2 bdrm home (mine with the extra bedroom/bath detailed above). And.. 3 apartments (casitas) . My caretakers Vilma and Luis (who are like my family!) live in one apartment, they keep the garden tidy, lawn mowed and the pool maintained, as well as being great security for the property. They are extremely helpful and anything you need they are there. I also have an English speaking property manager, Susan.. who can easily be called if you had questions about the property or needing translating for Vilma etc.
The other 2 casitas are also rentals and may or may not be booked when you are at the home. If they are, only the outside areas are shared. Everyone would have their own entrance, own bedroom and own bath and own kitchens (own private space) if all casitas were booked.
It is also possible for the renters to request cleaning/laundry services from Vilma at a reasonable cost
All info is outlined in the guest book guide you will find in each apartment. If you do not wish daily maid service, you can keep the house cleaned yourself (have all equipment) and there is a washing machine outside for everyone’s use.
Vilma is a lovely woman, in fact, they have both become an important part of my family and their #1 priority is keeping the property secure and tidy. Guests must understand that the caretakers are spanish speaking only.. but.. if I am not in country, you can call my property manager or driver for translating and I am always available by email.
My guests have loved staying at my home and often comment on the "great vibe".., and the location is fantastic close to golf, hotel and beach. Lots of parking.. caretakers on site, and the price is right!
Why do I feel I stand out from the competition? I do believe in sincere guest service, and get to know many of my clients personally. Most importantly, I ensure my apartments are very well maintained, fully equipped, nicely decorated, and totally functional
Guests have the luxury of the combination of privacy and social time. Each casita has it's own kitchen and space, so private. Outdoor areas are all shared, gardens, pool, patios and often guests get together for a potluck, BBQ or just a friendly chit chat. Lifelong friends have been made on this property!
Interaction with Guests
As the owner of the house and property, I am most often here and can assist guest with travel plans, questions and we often socialize together. In the rare event that I am traveling, I have caretakers and a property manger to ensure the guests are comfortable and have all they need, and I am always in contact by email in the seldom event that I am out of the country.
I live in the BEST neighbourhood in Coronado. In fact most of the amenities near the beach (hotel/golf, corner store, bars, restaurants..) are walking distance from my house. The major supermarkets are more located at the highway, so only a 5 minute drive
Most folks have a rental car. If you don't have one, no problem! Local buses go every few minutes to the grocery store and highway.. 35 cents. Also, I have a golf cart for rent.
Other Things to Note
If you have found this listing and book.. , you will be one of hundreds of happy guests who will never forget their Coronado experience in this friendly and happy environment!
This property is a great vibe property and I have received the most awesome , polite and fun guests over the last 8 years. Not too many rules.. just the basics:
- Respect for other renters if present (ie late night noise/parties)
- Shower before using pool
- Being respectful of electricity costs and minimizing a/c use, while turning off when not using or when out.
- rinsing out sand from clothing before using washing machine
Sarah was a great host and very outgoing. Went out of her way to make me feel welcome and a valued guest. I had my own casita which had everything to cook my own meals which helped save money. The pool is so relaxing and a must on those hot Coronado days. Sarah was kind enough to invite me to her friends' Xmas party as she did not want me to be alone - this was so kind of her. The facilities were modest and clean and had everything you need to chill out. The staff were friendly. Mike the Kiwi is always up for a good chat too ;-). I highly recommend Sarah's place to visitors.
Love my stay and the way Sarah helped put me in touch with locals.. Nice outdoors with a fantastic swimming-pool for drinks and fun!!
Even though Sarah Jane was travelling at the time of my arrival, she made sure that all her friends took good care of me, since I'm a woman traveling alone. So I met many of them and had the best time with them in Coronado, which by the way, is extremely safe anyway, it's a closed gate community where everybody knows everybody! If one does'nt feel safe in Coronado, then maybe they should'nt even be travelling is Central America...The house itself and the rooms are tastefully and originally decorated. I felt happy while there, made great people and I will certainly come back there again. Hopefully, I'll even get a chance to meet Sarah Jane! All her friends speak very highly of her, she sounds like a terrific, charismatic person with a passion for travelling, and so do I.
Linda, David, Rob and all the others, thank you so much!! See you soon!!
Host was absent. Housekeeper was sick and never gave me a key that worked in the bedroom door. I did not feel terribly safe there, as a woman traveling alone. Property is pretty and room clean and nice enough.
HI Maria, I feel really badly that you did not have the experience that most of my guests do. I did happen to be away last minute over the 2 days you stayed. I had a 6 year repeat guest from Vancouver and other guests on property and caretaker - there are always great folks around and nobody has ever felt unsafe in any way. Only 2 nights stay in Coronado is not nearly enough time to get a feel for our wonderful community and I hope you return to really see how great of a lifestyle it is here! (PS, speaking of safety... well, I am a young woman in my 40s... moved to my Coronado home in my 30s.. single , blonde. Never a problem.. life sure is good! See you next time :) Sarah
Sarah was an awesome host. She is very bubbly and friendly. We stayed in her home as the casitas were all rented. We were permitted to go to the private golf club minutes away to use the pool while she was getting a new pool. Very accommodating and I recommend Sarah highly!
I have to say that Sarah saved my stay in Coronado. She has a very nice environment and she makes it easy for everyone to blend in witch is a big plus. She accommodates me on a very short notice and I am very grateful for that. I would recommend Sarah has a host anytime.

I am a Canadian, living in Panama for 9 years. I own and rent fully equipped apartments in Panama City , as well as casitas on my property near the beach in Coronado (about 1 1/4 hour from Panama City) and a brand new 2 bedroom Coronado Golf Condo located on our famous Tom Fazio golf course in Coronado.
I am also a Buyer's Consultant with a reputable REAL ESTATE company in the Coronado Area. I have helped many people realize their retirement, relocation and investment dreams, and I have wonderful contacts in just about any field you can think of. I am happy to help you with everything Panama!
I started (with a dream, a prayer and a loan from a friend! ) a property management company in Whistler in the 90's and owned / operated Whistler Peak Properties, managing 85 high end ski in/out condos and townhomes, along with my wonderful team. After selling my company in 2001 I traveled SE Asia for 2 years, then moved south and put my experience and expertise to work in Mexico and now Panama. I have renovated all my properties and have learned so many interesting and valuable lessons, about the countries and cultures and really love living in Latin America.
Personally, I am friendly, easy going, spontaneous and my friends compliment me on my spirit. I really love adventures and my greatest passion is travel. I am curious and interested in other cultures and strive to learn languages and get to know the locals. In essence, it inspires me....
Am originally from England, but grew up in Canada and moved to Mexico then, onto Panama . My business , and passion is real estate investing, renovating and marketing / renting vacation rentals in Panama City and country areas, as well as Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I sincerely believe in a high level of service and my motto is "Everyone deserves a world class greeting". I also make a huge effort to keep my properties current, constantly renovating / upgrading items and furnishings. Most importantly, service and true hospitality!
Because of my love for travel, Panama has proven to be a fantastic hub, and I've visited almost every Central and South American country with only a couple more countries left on the bucket list.
I hope you will come and visit us in Panama!
I have had the BEST experience with airbnb.. first as a renter, then host, now both! I have used this site extensively in my travels to the Middle East, India and Europe as a guest, and even more extensively as a host.
Please contact me for the best local experience.
Bienvenidos a Panama y Mexico, Sarita
