Description

The space

This is a beautiful apartment in Galway City centre, built in 2007.
It is about a five minute walk to the Salthill Promenade and the ocean. It is an ideal location for day trips to the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands and Connemara.

It consists of two bedrooms, one double and one small single room, an open plan living room/kitchen and a bathroom with an electric shower. There is also a double futon in the living area and a single pull out camp bed. All linen and towels are provided, 1 bath towel & 1 hand towel is provided for each guest for their 3 day stay.
The beautiful light filled, cozy kitchen, is handmade, using natural wood for presses, and flooring throughout , with local Connemara marble worktops. The spiral staircase was also handmade on site. You're welcome to use all condiments from the well equipped kitchen.
The bathroom upstairs has an electric shower, with a tub/full bath/jacuzzi. The living room and back yard are south-facing so you get lots of natural light. The apartment has free private parking right outside the door, laundry facilities, hi speed wifi, 2 HD plasma TV's and JBL’s Xtreme Bluetooth speaker. Relax at night, watching a film on Comcast/Netflix or listening to music after a day's sightseeing.

The apartment is in a quiet residential neighbourhood, with a supermarket around the corner. It is also on the Eyre Square to Salthill bus route. The spiral staircase going up to the bathroom, which is located upstairs, means the apartment is not suited for guests with mobility issues.

There is a 3 day minimum stay.

The apartment price will go up to 125 euro per night for July and August.

My stay in Galway was fabulous and the apartment was everything I expected it to be! The bedrooms were comfortable and it had everything we needed such as plenty of towels and sheets etc. Ruth was great in showing us how everything worked in the apartment and was easily reached if I had any questions. The location was perfect because it literally was like a 10 minute walk to all of the pubs, restaurants, and shops! It was a plus the weather was sunny and warm for my visit as well! I will definitely be back again :)

This place was amazing, and was part of the reason why we had a lovely weekend. It is certainly a place to come back on a future trip to Galway!

Excellent, well equipped house. We were warm enough even in February with just the lovely wood burning stove. Kitchen was good. Just a short walk to the city and very close to great supermarket and lovely cafe (Anton's). Good to have parking on site. None of us liked the electric shower though, especially getting into a bath to have shower. Great for a couple or 3 people, bit of a squash for 4. Would stay again (without kids!) and would recommend.

This apartment is very well centralized to the Salthill and downtown. Cozy in the winter with the gas stove. We felt very safe staying there. Quiet, clean and cozy

Staying at Ruth's place was about as perfect an experience as you an imagine. I truly don't understand the comments saying it was a long walk to town. It is literally only a few blocks from the wonderful west end, and I timed the walk to the Latin Quarter and High Street at just about 5 minutes! Really a great distance, as you can enjoy the quiet of being outside of the chaos of the center and at the same time a quick and easy walk to all the action. Ruth's place was cleverly designed to take advantage of the small space, with ALL the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. As a host, Ruth was attentive and kind, and despite her extremely busy schedule managed to meet us at the door as we arrived. The place itself is in a perfect location, quiet and close, and is warmly decorated. Everything worked great. Would certainly stay there again next visit! Thank you Ruth for your kind hospitality.

Ruth's Airbnb was lovely! Very clean, well stocked (we cooked a full turkey Christmas dinner), warm and cozy, loads of hot water for showers and central/walking distance to everything you need! Very close to downtown Galway! Great place for 2-4 people! Private parking in the yard if you need parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it! It was the first time we have stayed in an Airbnb and now we have a standard to look at booking future Airbnbs!

Ruth had everything ready for our arrival including a wonderful roaring coal burning fire. Geat location. Apartment was well equipped. Would definitely recommend this place. Safe secure (off road) parking too!
