  • Ruth's apartment was perfect: clean, airy, and well-situated. She met us on arrival, and was helpful and informative. Galway was wonderful.

  • Ruth was super helpful with directions and our inquiries. Place was pristine clean, brand new, in an super convenient and quiet location; Ruth provides you with everything you need to feel like home and more. I wouldn't hesitate in going back.

  • Loved staying in Ruth's wonderfully breezy Galway apartment for the weekend. Location was perfect, just a few blocks from city centre and with a parking space in back to boot. Loved all the windows and light, and the fireplace heats everything up quite effectively when needed. Only warnings: tall folks may be ducking a little going up the spiral staircase, and the shower can be a bit temperamental.

  • Ruth's apartment is a wonderful place to stay in Galway. As others have said, the location is ideal, the market is practically next door, and the place is fully stocked to make you feel at home. We saved a small fortune in being able to cook our own meals and make cocktails at 'home' before nights out. The kitchen is stocked with all the supplies you could need to make meals including pots, pans, lids, flatware, cooking utensils, a kettle, dishware, dish soap and towels, 2 French press, and an assortment of pantry items left by past guests.
It was also convenient to wash clothes on-site, sleep in comfortable beds, have privacy when needed, and yet a space to congregate with a few friends.
We found the major appliances (washer, hot water heater, shower, stove, heater, dishwasher)a bit tricky to operate at first, but this is was all user trial-and-error as our appliances are quite different in the states. If you aren't familiar, I definitely recommend asking detailed questions about the general operation of local appliances. Ruth was close by if we had any questions or needed help and is a super-friendly lady.
The home is gorgeous, clean, modern, and cozy. We would definitely book this space from Ruth again!!

  • My family and I enjoyed the location of this apartment very much. It was close enough to walk to city centre, just a 7-8 minute walk, very close to a grocery store, and easy to find! The apartment itself suited our needs just fine and even though there were 5 of us we slept comfortably and warmly. There were a few things missing from the apartment when we arrived, just simple things, but Ruth is so close and was extremely easy to reach. She was quick to respond at all times. We really had a fun couple of days in Galway here!

  • The apartment is beautiful, spacious with a very nice open layout.
Lots of light comes through during the day, and at night the gas fire and/or central heating gets the place cosy in no time.
The kitchen, complete with gas stove is fully kitted out and I thoroughly enjoyed cooking for myself all the nights I was there.

Location-wise, this place has the perfect balance of being close to the city centre (7 minutes on foot), while at the same time being far away enough to be peaceful and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle.

Ruth was an exceptional host. From the very beginning she was warm, friendly and welcoming, and even though I'd flown all the way from New Zealand, she made me feel right at home.

    Can't recommend this place enough.

  • We were three people staying in Ruth's apartment, and we loved it! It was in such a good location, staggering distance from some great pubs and 10 min walk from city centre. Really appreciated the fire place in the apartment too, as our stay in Galway was wet and windy! All in all, a very comfortable and practical little apartment!

  • Great place in a great location. It was a Christmas visit for us and the warm gas fireplace made it very cosy. Short walk to waterfront and town.

  • Although close to the action in Galway, this light-filled apartment is a quiet place to recharge. The living room and kitchen is comfortable, and the place heats up quickly during those colder months. The bedrooms are basic, and the only bathroom is upstairs. Besides the two beds, which can sleep 4, there is also a futon and additional cot available in-unit. If you really felt like it, you could fit 7 people inside, but it'd be a slightly cramped experience.

  • Very nice place, close to everything you would want to see about galway. Fully functional kitchen which we used to cook a couple meals. Very clean and had a parking space which was helpful since we rented a car. Ruth was also quite nice and prompt. Overall great stay would recommend to anyone over a hotel!
