This artsy single shotgun house one & a half blocks off Bayou St. John. It's about half a mile from City Park where Voodoo Festival is and one block from Parkway Bakery- the oldest Po-boy shop in New Orleans. Just across the Bayou is a coffee shop and and wine store & a farmer's market on Thursday evenings. About eight blocks away is a commercial area with a grocery store, several restaurants, coffee shop, wine shop & salon. The Canal Street streetcar is five blocks away. This is real New Orleans living! it's not a fancy neighborhood but a great central location. I have owned this house for 10 years. I am renting the whole house, and I will be staying elsewhere - so the whole place is yours! I will ask for a deposit for this listing of $300. I also rent out the front room see:
This house is colorfully decorated, eclectic & clean. It has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a double. Ideal for two couples- with a limit of four people to stay. The house is set up wonderfully, the bedrooms are on either end house- so you can avoid walking through one room to get to the next! Separate entrances too. Two bathrooms, one with a shower other has a claw foot tub, kitchen & living room all colorfully painted & tastefully decorated. There are beautiful hardwood floors & ceiling fans in each room. There is central a/c & wifi. There is off street parking - enough for 2 cars. There is also a patio with beautiful garden.
There are wonderful neighbors just beyond the backyard. The property is adjacent to a larger shared backyard & community of folks including performers, chefs and artists are sure to send you in the right direction if you inquire.
I stayed at Cassandra's home for Jazzfest with my fiance and another couple. Her place was great! The photos don't do it justice. Very cute house, nice (email hidden)per clean! We would absolutely stay there again. Thanks Cassandra!!
Cassandra was a wonderful hostess and her place worked out perfectly. The location and space were exactly as advertised. Working out check-in and check-out was super easy. She had some great recommendations for places to go around the city and my favorite Abita waiting in the fridge too. :)
It was really a great experience overall and I would gladly book again for my next trip to NOLA.
