Jon's apartment was very clean, comfortable and very conveniently located to Penn station and Madison square garden. There were no problems gaining entry and getting the keys and Jon was in contact via text message throughout the visit to ensure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here!
Jon's place was IDEAL. I've stayed at a lot of airbnb's in Manhattan and this was by far the best experience. Super helpful with check in, great place with beautiful light and plants.
This was a great place to stay in Chelsea...just about everything one needs is in walking distance...Century 21 Dept Store being the exception:-) It was quiet, clean, air-conditioned of course and a perfect place for two, although I was one.
Jon was very nice and helpful, the apartment is very well located, 5 min to Penn Station, Madison Square Garden...
Times Squares is as well around the corner.
You can easily explore new york from that place.
This apt is great for any events at Madison Square Garden. You are a block and a half away and it still manages to be cozy and quite. There are great bars, restaurants and shopping all within a 4 block radius. Plus, with Penn Station right there you can get to any region in the northeast within hours. This would be a great base of operations for a couple looking to explore the city.
It was a busy 5 days in NYC and after touring all day coming back to Jon's place was relaxing. The studio was in a quiet building and its proximity to Penn Station was important to us. Communication with Jon beforehand was adequate so checking in and out of the studio was easy. The studio was furnished with comfortable furniture especially the queen bed and there was a closet devoted for guest clothing. We did not cook but it appeared there was adequate cooking pots/pans and dishes. The experience of NYC is what you want to make of it and having this base from which to operate was advantageous to us.
Jon's apartment in Chelsea was very convenient for me. It's located in a good neighborhood - quiet and safe, yet a short walking distance from Penn Station and a lot of bars, restaurants and cafes. It is easy to get to from the airport by train, saving me a good deal of money on taxis. The apartment itself is very attractively decorated with books and artifacts, it's got old but perfectly working appliances (DVD, CD player, flat-screen TV), a good hot shower, an effective A/C, and a reliable high-speed WIFI. It does have some corners that could be cleaner, e.g. under the sinks, but it was over-all acceptably clean. There was also an abundance of clean towels and linen. The bottom line is that I recommend Jon's apartment to anybody looking for a good time in Manhattan, and I will certainly want to use it again next time I'm there.
