  • Adam's house is very cozy and is located in a beautiful neighborhood, with easy access by car or public transportation to San Francisco's top attractions. The house is very clean, comfortable and we felt like home. Adam and Joan are very nice and attentive hosts. They provide a list of nice places and restaurants to visit in San Fran, which was very helpful. Since the day I made the reservation in airbnb they kept in contact with us by email, giving us all the information we needed to get to the house. They even asked asked us what we would like for breakfast. All the attention they have with their guests is certainly the perfect example of the wonderful hosts they are. Unfortunately our schedule only allowed us for a three day visit, but we had such a great time in San Fran that we plan to visit again for a longer time and Adam's house is for sure my pick for a place to stay.

  • I arranged for my 18 year old daughter and her friend to stay. They loved the room and the food! They said that the hosts were so kind and helpful to them. It was easy and pleasant to work out the arrangements with Adam. I felt very comfortable having my daughter stay with them. Thank you!

  • Adam and Joan were very helpful. We were there for a business, and they kindly listened what we needed in the city and gave us great advices. Perfect location to get around the area by car.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Adam's place. We talked a lot with Joan and she gave us some really good tips concerning San Francisco and the further places were we will stay.
The appartment is very spacey and clean. The provided breakfast was great. They even left a bottle of wine and some popcorn for us. The neigborhood was really safe and there was a lot of free parking available on the street. It's a 15min walk to the Muni station West Portal and therefore easy to get downtown or to other places. Compared to other places in SF this is probably the best value for money.

  • We had a lovely time in the West Portal neighborhood of San Francisco. "Serenity" was very comfortable and Adam was helpful in suggesting restaurants and even a church in the area. We will reccomend this to our friends.

  • We had stayed for four days at Adams place. It's a beautiful neighbourhood, quite and green. Our stay was comfortable and given the fact we had our car, ample parking made it convenient . The location is not too far from the main sfo touristy area. The only thing was that while listing mentions breakfast, the place does not have kitchen included and only a work table, therefore at best caters for making tea and coffee or some cereals if someone wants.Else a nice place to stay.

  • We stayed in Joan's place for 11 days and we were very happy for the whole stay. The house is in a lovely, peaceful yet beautiful community and all of descriptions you can see from Joan are very true. We had our own rented car and parking is easy and free here. But you can also easily walk to MUNI. Many thanks to Joan for letting us use your kitchen!

    Response from Adam:

Thanks so much Sophia! I'm glad that you and your family were comfortable and got to enjoy our crazy 'summery winter' - who knew we were going to have 65 degrees and no rain? I'm glad you enjoyed the walk to the MUNI and hope that your daughter enjoyed the park nearby - best, Joan & Adam

  • The apartment is very comfortable and the host, Joan, very friendly. We felt like at home. We arrived San Francisco with a 6 hours flight delay, and Joan was very accommodating, through emails, letting us know that she'd be home if we needed help.
The apartment is very spacious, but the trees had grown so tall that it had blocked the view. There's a basket to carry dirty dishes & we can drop it off outside Joan's door and it will be replaced by clean dishes outside our unit. But it would be nice to have a kitchen sink in the breakfast bar. All the rooms are heated, except the hallway, and unfortunately it was really cold when we visited San Francisco, and the hallway (from the bedroom to the bathroom) was very cold at night.
Thank you, Joan, for sharing your lovely home in such a nice neighbourhood.
