Joan and Adam are terrific hosts!
The apartment is spacious and everything is clean. The location is great, very close to the public transportation and good restaurants. I felt like I was right at home!
I would definitely go back and recommend staying there!
Joan and Adam were wonderful. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The neighborhood was gorgeous, close to lots of stuff, and had parking which was perfect for us since we were renting a car. We absolutely loved staying there and would definitely do so again.
Adam and Joan were very personable and friendly. We also liked the size of the unit. Peter is sensitive / allergic to musty environments and while this IS San Francisco, we think the unit could use better management of the moisture. They are using interesting moisture capture bags which we also will be buying for our own use :) We had an interesting itinerary and Adam/Joan were VERY helpful and flexible which we appreciated tremendously!
This place is in a lovely neighborhood and offers complete privacy. Adam and Joan were very welcoming, both before we arrived and when we got there. The walk to public transportation would have been great, except that it was raining pretty heavily most of the time, making the walk seem long. It's about 6 blocks through a safe area. On the minus side,The unit could use some updating, especially the carpet and the bathroom. There is no cooktop or kitchen sink, so cooking is not really much of an option, except for microwaving. There was lots of good hot water in the bathroom.
I assisted in setting up this stay for two entrepreneurs that I am working for in Los Angeles. They came back with rave reviews! They had previously stayed in hotels while visiting and making sales calls in San Francisco, and are somewhat new to the Air B'n'B experience. I would say they are now converts due to the hospitality and comfort of this location and its hosts.
We felt the welcome very warm , despite the cold winds in San Francisco. Adam had kept a bottle of Californian wine to welcome us, and on top of that the apartment was as we had seen on the website, very comfortable, cosy and convenient.
The place was stocked with clean linen, warming quilts and clean towel. The toilet was very spotless, something that makes your stay WOW. Made for a wonderful stay for two nights. Next time we are planning a longer trip.
Absolutely lovely room. Very quiet neighborhood. It was an easy trip in to the city. Adam and Joan were very hospitable and made sure we were at ease with our amenities.
Would absolutely stay here again.
I run the bnb with my wife, Joan, who is a published author and teacher. I am a tech executive; I've worked in Silicon Valley and Tech for over 20 years. We love to hike, kayak, bike, walk, swim, cross country ski. ON vacation, we do all those things and also read, relax, and eat good food!
