Martin made us feel very welcome right from the beginning, and gave very useful information on walks around the Lake District, and places to eat around town. The rooms and kitchen are very cosy and homely, so it was a joy to get back to after a long day. We would definitely like to come back again.
Martin and Jo are friendly hosts. Although we only stayed for a night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. They have provided us with great tips on where to go and what to see in the area. Room was huge with nice view. Breakfast was rich and fantastic. Thanks again, Martin and Joe for your warm hospitality.
Great, I had a beer with them and they made me feel at home. It felt like visiting friends and I also had my own space.
Lots of nice homemade jams too!
Martin and Jo are perfect at having guests! They are very friendly and full of interesting stories and useful tips about Lake District exploration. The room was perfect suited and breakfast well served. We would highly recommend staying with them to all who want to have wonderful holiday! Thanks a lot, guys!
I arrived late and left early but it was comfortable and quiet.
Great stay at Martin and Jo's. Lovely people, easy to communicate with through the booking process, and great for a chat. Terrific room with everything you need including a very comfy bed. The house is only a short distance from the town centre and bus/train stations so very easy to get around. We would definately recommend a stay here!
