  • Great location and has all amenities you might need for a short stay in St Kilda. Close to restaurants and public transport if needed. Secure parking was a bonus. Would be a tight squeeze for 4 adults, but for a short stay, possible.

  • We had a good stay at the apartment in St Kilda. Easy access to Melbourne and the beaches.
    Thanks Bill.

  • Great Location, 3 mins walk to all kinds of restaurants and bars, had been staying here in 7 nights, room is clean, got everything we need, bill is very helpful, great experience in Melbourne!

  • Excellent location and price! The apartment had everything we needed and didn't have that impersonal hotel/motel feel....would definitely stay there again. Thanks Bill!

  • Booked this apartment for my Mum who was visiting from overseas. Very comfortable for 1 person, plenty of spare bed linen and well equipped kitchen. The bed was comfortable, the shower was powerful; and both the location and the view from the balcony were fantastic.

Bill was great to deal with - he always responded very promptly to any questions and check-in was made easy by the option of collecting the keys from a secure location or meeting Bill at the apartment.

As others have said, the only downside to the apartment is the blinds which have been bent out of shape by previous guests accessing the balcony.

  • The location is perfect for a mix between the city of Melbourne, stroll through St Kilda, enjoy its wonderful restaurants and coffee places and a good swim at the lovely beach.

The apartment is small, comfortable bed. Good linen. Nice shower.Hugh TV and basic cooking facilities.

Bill is a nice host to deal with. Responds rapid to questions.
Might be a good idea though to solve the question of the windows, blinds and washing machine (doesn't spin). Because these are a bit of a set back on the good points.

  • The stay at this apartment was great. The space was just enough for 2 of us (I wouldn't have any more unless you don't want space for down time) and the location was perfect for gaining access to all that Melbourne has to offer, without being right in the center. We had issues with the apart., which it seems others have had the same experiences ie, blinds, bathroom, prepaid internet, but for what it is and the reason we needed to stay it was perfectly fine. I'm guessing Bill has lots of other apart. in Melbs so after letting him know about issues he was very accommodating and his communication was excellent. I was never left to feel like I didn't know what was going on. Obviously, it's not the Hilton*, so if you're after luxury this isn't the place for you. But, if you want a place to stay that is like a 'slightly' lived in younger persons apartment, this is for you. As an ex-Melbournite I loved reminiscing and being close to all my old haunts without having to drive out to the suburbs.
*I personally don't think the Hilton is amazing anyway!

  • The place is quite nice, bit too small for 3 people but perferct for backpackers. The location is very convinient. Couple of things though, the laundry machine is a bit loud, and the blinds were sort of broken so had some street lights coming in at night. Other than that it is pretty good. Also Bill is really nice, he's a good lad.

  • This was an average stay. The location was good with a nice view of the ocean and close to restaurants (if you knew that information). The pictures definitely appear to be photo shopped as compared to the actual apartment. It is very small but very functional and dingy compared to the pics. One of the main reasons we chose this place was because of the W/D. But the W/D is VERY loud and VERY slow. So if you need to wash clothes make sure you know that it will take all day with a loud machine to wash one load of clothes. The host was accommodating but did not send me the entry info, codes, etc until 60 - 30 minutes prior to check in and he sent them via email. As a foreigner without access to internet that seemed odd. We are very seasoned travelers so we did not need to be babysat but we felt very rushed when trying to check in and get internet codes, etc. I would not cross this location off my list but it would not be at the top. But for the price it was great just flawed. Make sure to bring sleeping patches and ear plugs as you are right on a main thoroughfare with traffic and the blinds are in poor condition so there is a lot of light. It would be nice to have a list in the apartment of places to visit, restaurants around the corner, etc. I love with airbnb hosts provide these kinds of extra touches! I am not trying to bash the location but I think that it is important that we leave feedback so the next tenant is not surprised. Great value for the money ... just has issues.

  • We stayed at the flat for 5 nights in November as a family of 2 adults and one child of 9 months.

    Positives:
    - Great location with shops, bars restaurants and beach very close by
    - Nice sunsets
    - Fenced parking space included
    - Shower has good pressure and warms quickly
    - Well used space, big enough for a small family like ours
    - Bill answers promptly to messages

    Negatives:
    - Generally dirty, had to mop first thing on entering apartment
    - Provided hoover could not pick up a peanut
    - Window blinds twisted/broken due to access to balcony being behind blinds
    - Balcony filthy, useable maybe as a place to smoke
    - Balcony doors let water in with heavier rain. Woke up to a drip that created a puddle right next to the heaters socket
    - Bathroom door is a Japanese style with what seems to be old bits of grease paper as windows held on with tape.
    - Bathroom paint and plaster coming down in chunks / mildew on walls
    - Pot and pan bottoms bent so out of shape they're unusable on hotplates
    - Sofa exterior crumbling off
    - WIFI is prepaid and ran out of credits after 3 days of light use

All in all unless Bill hires a new cleaner and has someone scrub the place top to bottom we could not recommend this flat.
