Natalya's place is secluded and private and that is exactly how we liked it. It has lots of living space and was well equipped with a nice American sized kitchen. The grounds have beautiful gardens and the pools is so nice. The house is enormous and has plenty of living and sitting space. We are so glad we stayed here and had the opportunity to experience the real Costa Rica. I would not hesitate to stay here again if we had the chance.

If you love nature, views, animals and having confort of a modern place at the same time, this is the perfect! House is beautifull and has everything you need, even spices to cook! Very confortable as seen in the pictures. LOTS of birds, tucanos, frogs and a nice pool with amazing views. Bedrooms have thir own bathroom and are very spacious and with garden views. They care so much about guests and were very nice. Natalya aswered all our questions . Barrie baked cookies for us and helped a lot in our stay and hugo took us to the jungle in the back of the property. Only thing to consider when visiting is to try to go in a 4x4 vehicle, we rented a family Van and it worked too but its better a bigger car if possible.

Our family enjoyed the most incredible vacation at villa Bella Vista!!! The moment we arrived we were greeted with welcoming hugs and warm, delicious banana bread from the care-taker Barrie. Natalya was so kind and generous to make sure there was fresh fruit, milk, bread and coffee already there for us too. Much to our surprise there were also some lovely cooking oils, vinegars and spices in the kitchen as well. It's hard to believe but the pictures don't do the villa justice. It is far more grand in person!! The villa was spotless when we arrived and Andrea, the house keeper brought it right back to spotless during our stay. After a long day of exploring, we came back to a well cleaned villa with fresh bedding on all the beds, fresh towels in all 3 bathrooms and fresh tea towels and dish cloths in the kitchen too. We woke every morning to howler monkeys, birds, bugs and frogs and it was amazing! Something we still miss after being back home for over a week. Every room in the villa has so many windows and screens which made smelling the fragrant flowers and hearing the incredible jungle sounds so easy. My husband and I enjoyed our morning coffee in the lounging chairs by the pool, overlooking the jungle. And our evening dinners were always enjoyed in the outdoor dining area, watching the breathtaking sunsets. We never ate indoors once. The villa is surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants! Hugo the gardener does an amazing job of tending the plants and keeping the pool clean. He took the four of us on a personal guided tour through the jungle and pointed out some amazing sights along the way. Meeting Hugo and spending time with him was definitely one of the highlights of our stay at the villa. Barrie the care-taker was absolutely amazing and made sure we always had everything we needed. Natalya is blessed to have such wonderful, warm and loving people caring for her beautiful home. We certainly hope to return to the villa should we visit Costa Rica again. Highway 243 going to the villa is very curvy and it would best to travel it during the daylight hours. Although we did it at night, it would have been easier during the day. It is about a 25-30 drive until you take the left turn onto the dirt road. The easiest way to see the turn is to look for the sign for Alfrombre that looks like a giant ant eater type animal. You will see it on your left and the dirt rd is immediately before the ant eater. If you drive pass the sign, you've already missed the road. Once you turn left onto the dirt road, you will only drive a few minutes before you get to the villa. Look for ivory gates on your right and it will read Villa Bella Vista. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay and it was very close...

The house is amazing, beautiful and spacious. The only thing better than the house were the unbelievable flowers and flowering bushes. If you have a passion for flowers you will absolutely LOVE this place. This was the best place we ever stayed at. The only negative was the 1/2 hour trip to the beach on a very winding road. However, that was made up for by the fact that the house was at a higher elevation and the weather was not as hot as at the beach. We had 75-80 degrees every day, perfect for outdoor dining, swimming, etc.

Our experience staying at this beautiful home was phenomenal from beginning to end. This was the far most cleanest Air BnB we've ever stayed at and the host Greg was excellent. He made sure all our needs were met and had great activity recommendations. He also picked us fresh fruit from homes beautiful 15 acre backyard which was perfectly ripe. This was a very nice gesture and nice surprise since we showed up hungry. This home is handicap accessible and has all the possible amenities one should need. We will definitely be staying here again when visiting Costa Rica next year.

The view, the hosts, the house and accommodations along with all the amenities are beyond perfection. I highly recommend this place for a quiet (URL HIDDEN) is very remote but within driving distance of dominical. The owner and her care takers are wonderful! It's amazing.

Magical, luxurious, eco-paradise. My husband and I stayed at Bella Vista several times. We stayed both in the downstairs apartment back when the hosts lived upstairs, and in the main villa / master's quarters now that they have moved back to Canada. It's the kind of house that you see on the cover of design magazines or expect to be owned by a movie star - over 6,000 square feet of space (I asked), high ceilings, huge windows everywhere you look, granite counter tops, high end custom made furniture, large & crystal clear pool and a gorgeous garden with exotic flowers. It's the best of both worlds - luxurious villa with high-end touches throughout (and all the conveniences of civilization like having a chef's kitchen with a dishwasher!) surrounded by incredible jungle (you can go jungle hiking right on the property!) Our last visit was with 3 friends who have never been to Costa Rica before - they all loved it as much as we did! We welcomed each day with an early morning cup of coffee in the upstairs gazebo, looking out over the ocean and watching the hummingbirds fly by... we finished our days with a gin & tonic at the outdoor veranda - watching the sun disappear into the ocean. In between there was surfing, hiking, swimming in rivers & waterfalls, horseback riding, zip-lining, taking photos of monkeys - all this is easily accessible from the property. The house is great for a group of friends or a family traveling together. There is a ton of space for both privacy or to hang out as a group. One of our friends loves cooking so we would go to the local farmer's market, get fresh organic produce and make family style dinners in the gourmet kitchen. The kitchen had everything we possibly needed; it was very well stocked with both kitchenware and cooking supplies. This ability to cook our own gourmet meals made the experience even more special. At the market we chatted and joked around (in our broken Spanglish) with the farmers and fishermen. It was so fun and made us feel like locals! Another aspect that makes this place so special is the staff - Jane & Greg (property caretakers) are nice and helpful if you need them, but very courteous (and the space is large enough) so that if you aren't looking for them you will not see them. The fact that they speak English made our lives easier a few times where they were able to give us detailed directions to the hidden beaches that we would have not found on our own! The gardener Hugo, is sweet and very knowledgeable on all the jungle plants - if you ask, he will take you on a guided walk in the jungle around the property pointing out all the plants and wildlife. I can't recommend experiencing this piece of paradise highly enough. Pura Vida.

Natalya User ProfileNatalya is a superhost.

We are Natalya and Victor. Two retired Canadians who built their dream home in Costa Rica. We have been living in Costa Rica for the past 7 years, loving and appreciating every day spent in this amazing place. It is a gorgeous country with friendly people, moderate climate and great opportunities for both relaxation and adventure. We have four grown children living in Canada, US and Argentina and we built a house where everyone can come together and enjoy themselves. When the kids are too busy to visit we are happy to share this beautiful place with you .

Here in Costa Rica we have 3 cats and 2 dogs. They live in the house but do not enter bedrooms. However, if you have a strong cat allergy this is something to consider.

Our dogs are very big but very friendly. They will bark and protect the house, but are not in any-way aggressive to our house-guests. They would like nothing more than another human friend to play with and to tag-along with on the jungle hike behind our villa.
