The space

This home (built by a sea captain) has been in the family for many years, and now for the first time we want to share it with you! It's a great Cape Cod getaway between two storied resort towns: Chatham, and Harwichport.

The master bedroom is spacious and includes a double bed, dresser and closet. Bedroom two also has a double bed and enjoys plenty of sunshine, overlooking the large leafy back yard. The living room is 15'x15' with a fireplace (not usable at this time) and knotty pine plank walls. There is plenty of room in the dining room to share meals with family and friends, with an additional sitting or dining area in the kitchen.

There is an outdoor shower where you can wash the sand off after a day at the beach, or use to get an early start on your day. The back yard is large and private, with a patio, table and chairs. A gas grill is there for your convenience to make an easy dinner after a day in the sun. There is a clothes dryer for your use during your stay, but we prefer you take clothes to be washed to the laundramat.

There are two restaurants close by and minimum walking distance: Pisces, and the Talkative Pig. Both chefs offer fine dining for dinner.

If you're eager to share Cape Cod with the people you love most and travel by bike, the Cape Cod Rail Trail is within 1/4 of a mile. Bring your own bikes, or rent them nearby.

Everyone comes to the Cape to enjoy the beaches, right? The closest beach is a little over 1/2 mile from you, at the bottom of Pleasant Street. There is free (but limited) parking there, or you can walk down to this Nantucket Sound fun spot. The next beach over is Forest beach, which offers more parking (free) and more beach, as well as a beautiful marsh walking path. Most beaches require a beach sticker for parking, but not these two.

There are supermarkets (Star Market and Stop & Shop) within 3 miles. Chatham is a well-known shopping town and just 7 minutes away. Harwichport is a beautiful resort town and 5 minutes to your west. Both towns have a lot to offer. If you want a choice of entertainment, spend the day and evening in Provincetown, which is only a 50 minute drive, Whales have thankfully been bountiful in recent years, so check out a whale watching tour. Ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket are available in summertime from Harwichport.

This home was perfect for our family. The location is ideal for getting to local beaches and some amazing restaurants. It is a short drive to downtime. We enjoy this part of town as it is away from a lot of the crowds. The home itself has everything you need. The back yard…

Kristine's home was such a warm and charming place to stay. She had everything you needed and it was impeccably clean. The yard was beautiful and our two little dogs loved chasing the bunnies in the back yard. I was afraid of the location at first being right on Route 28 but w…

Nice house close to 2 beaches. Garden not fenced so not ideal for pet. Enjoyed a lot our stay.

We stayed for 5 nights. Large living area in non-central location, but close drive to center of town and beaches. Kitchen was very clean and Kristine was very available if we had questions. Only issue was plumbing/drains, but in an old house this is expected.

Our stay here was great! The house had a nice charm to it that makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in. We liked it so much we ended up extending our stay. I would definitely recommend this place for your visit to cape cod.
