The space
Riad Jaune Safran is a traditional riad that has been completely restored in 2014, all the while preserving its original structure to grant you an authentic experience. The riad is a peaceful refuge, placed in a still authentic neighbor where you can observe the flow of daily life.

You will have the entire riad at your disposal, and enjoy a complete privacy and have the opportinity to cultivate yourself.

The staff will take care of the cleanings, the breakfast and of the meals, if you wish to enjoy it. We can organize a traditional lunch at the sound of the mural waterfall or a delicious dinner on the terrace, under the stars, by candlelight.

During the day you can enjoy the cool patio or the living room, or enjoy a hammam with massage. The traditional hammam is an experience not to be missed! You can cool off with a cup of Moroccan tea or enjoy a fresh orange juice on the terrace after sunbathing.

We can organize traditional dinners, private parties, guided tours to Marrakech and its surroundings, and many other activities. We are always ready to listen to your special requests!

During your stay, you will have the pleasure of living among its stylish tadelakt walls, inlaid woods decorations, wrought iron, mosaics and traditional motifs, which we have enjoyed decorating with playful colours. So leave everything behind and enjoy a deeply relaxing and peaceful holiday. So forget the time and live to the rhythm of the muezzin call. It is like a journey through time...

Where you’ll be

Marrakesh, Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz, Morocco

The riad is situated in the Bab Taghzout (pronounce Bab Tarzoot) neighborhood, north of Marrakech's main square and is accessible by car up to the Bab Taghzout parking, which is 1 minute walking from the riad.
Bab Taghzout’s gate, of almoravidean origin, and the nearer Sidi Bel Abbes neighborhood, which have been linked to the Medina at the end of 1700, represent an unquestioned historical-cultural heritage.
Bab Taghzout has remained a popular neighborhood, still not touristic, therefore, it’s quieter than the other neighborhood where the souks are. The little streets here are tight; the houses are simpler, with children playing in front of the doors. Its beauty depends on the fact that it seems to live in another age.
In these streets, you can find a traditional furnace, in which the inhabitants come to cook their homemade bread, a public hammam, different markets and many little shops. Do not miss the Zaouia Sidi Bel Abbes, the mausoleum of the most famous of the seven saints of Marrakech, and the Mjadlia a street, at which sides there are arcades and handcraft’s workshops that bring you to the Poor’s Mosque. The monumental complex has been built in different ages and it is made up of a medersa (school) and a mosque, dated beginning of 1600, to which during the following centuries a zaouia (oratory) and a fountain have been added.
Don’t miss the Bab Khemis market!

Hi my name is Veronica. I like music, reading and love so much to travel in the world to discover and learn about new people, new cultures and different lifestyle. I also like to see new landscapes and taste new food too... It helps so much to broaden our horizon and gain a different perspective on things. When, in 1999, I met my husband we immediately shared the passion for traveling. And so we started to wander the world, on the adventure. In every single journey, the best encounters and the experiences we had the chance to live and left us indelible traces in the memory, occurred when entering the houses of our hosts. The warmth of welcome and the emotional involvement too were always more intriguing than the ones we had experienced staying by an hotel. When you get in touch with people who live hospitality as a real passion, the most beautiful gift you can receive, if you take the chance, is the key to understanding the place where you are. Arriving at a mountain cabin and finding a freshly baked apple pie, while the host tells you the stories of his valley, is already a journey in itself. Travel after travel, the idea of becoming host myself started to creep into my head. Then, one day, back from a trip to Morocco, and completely enchanted by the charm of Marrakech, I started to dream... yeah, I like challenges! And that challenge has become a reality now. So, today, not only we do continue to travel the world, but the world comes to visit us here. Every guest with his story. Don't hesitate, come and join us!
