A lovely place to stay. Charming old building very near the old port. Roof terrace was a wonderful place to relax. Room was clean, comfortable and charming. Our hosts were friendly and accomodating.
The stay was absolutely wonderful! Both the location and the room are top notch! You are steps from the old harbor in a comfortable, charming room with a wonderful modern bathroom. Yannis himself was an amazing host. He showed my friend and I some great bars we would have never found on our own. Also because it was the low season, the buses were not running to the botanical park that we wanted to see. Yannis mentioned he'd never been and offered to drive us and come along! He really went above and beyond.
We stayed one night at Yannis' Apartement in Chania. It is located in the lovely surrounding of the old town close to all the bars, restaurant and shops. Even a late check in possible.
We changed our plans at the last minute and Yannis was able to accommodate us in a very comfortable space in the old center of Chania. His recommendation for dinner led to the best white snapper we have ever had, not to mention a gracious host. We didn't have enough time in Chania, so we will return.
Very nice traditional house, in the heart of Topanas, with a couple of neat refurbishments/improvements (bathroom, AC).
Lots of awesome restaurants and charming houses and streets in this neighborhood, which also happens to be at a mere 10' walk away from Nea chora beach.
The apartment itself is comfy and cleaned up every day, and Eva/her assistants were very helpful for any queries/questions about the area.
The only slightly negative point would be the noise from footsteps from the floor above and from passers-by...one of the cons of the traditional 17th century wooden building, but nothing major in the end.
We did not meet Yiannis himself, but the ladies in the nshop below were very helpful & we had no problems at all during our stay. The room itself is small, but comfortably sized for two people who want a quiet time - the bathroom is also small but comfortable, & the hair dryer provided was a bonus. The fridge & kettle were very useful - we were able to make breakfast & simple lunches in our room as a result, which was great - we didn't try cooking anything on the gas stove provided, but eating out was enjoyable. The old town is lovely to stay in, & our street remained quiet, no rowdiness outside. The roof terrace is also nice for a lounge around. Some noise of footstpes from the floor above & occasioanlly on the stairs, as this in an old & mostly wooden building, but nothing impossible to tolerate. The air-con was also great, as the weather was extremely hot.

Talking about yourself is something you should leave to the others, and believe me they will do it much better than you will...however, I can tell you a few things myself: I am a travel lover, with no particular favorite destination but wherever I go I try to interact with local people and listen to their advise on where to eat, sleep, what to see etc. I also play music (piano, flute, singing) with a Greek band called ''oktava'' in Chania. We play Greek traditional and modern music. I like sports too, playing volleyball, beach volleyball, tennis, table tennis...I love good food, always looking out for new tastes where ever I go so I have got very good tips for anyone that wants to taste really nice food in Chania...I read books, go to the cinema and have many ordinary hobbies like most of us do ... :-)
