About This Listing
We have a 2 bdrm duplex. Our room is upstairs. We are very busy and almost never home. So, more often than not, you would have the place to yourself.
The rental room is downstairs right next to the shared bath. There is a kitchen with all amenities, living room with big screen tv, lots of movies, books, and games, wifi, washing machine and dryer (which you are welcome to use), and a cute little backyard with garden.
I am located blocks from Peninsula Park, a 5 minute walk to Dekum street and a 10 minute walk to Alberta Arts District and Mississippi district, 5 miles to the airport, a 10 min. drive to downtown and the Hawthorne/Belmont area, and a 15 minute drive to St. Johns. TriMet stops are just blocks away. I have a bike to borrow, if you're interested; a cute, old Peugeot!
I provide you with a clean set of sheets and towels. Treat yourself to coffee, a variety of tea choices, and fruit :)
Crystal and Ricardo were lovely and welcoming hosts who made us feel right at home. They were also very generous in opening up their home for us to enjoy all to ourselves during our entire 4 day stay. It was a real treat! They also lent us their bikes and were just a text away if we had any questions. Great experience overall.
This place was so cute! We didn't get to meet Crystal, but Ricardo was very friendly and welcoming. They even offered us boxed wine. The whole place was clean and the backyard was adorable. I would love to stay here again!
Ricardo + Crystal were so warm and welcoming, my partner and I enjoyed staying with them in their lovely home. We spent most days exploring the city and the room was a comfortable place to return. They offered restaurant suggestions and were generally excellent hosts. I'm happy to have met them and hope to see them again when I return to Portland.
My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay with Crystal and Ricardo. They were very accommodating to our early schedule when checking in.bEverything was as described, and more comfortable with the charm of their cozy home. We loved the clean room we stayed in and the neat set-up of the their garden. They offered us bikes to use during our trip and provided tips for things to do and see while in Portland. Highly recommended! The neighborhood is also charming, bikable and close to reliable public buses.
Crystal and Ricardo were such lovely hosts! Their home is very cozy, welcoming, and clean. They were very quick to respond, especially given my short notice. Highly recommended, mostly because I feel like I have met life long friends in Portland! I cannot express my gratitude enough for meeting these two beautiful people!
I am very thankful to have met Crystal and Ricardo! Both were very accommodating and provided a beautiful environment for me to get some much needed rest in. Not only that, the property itself has a chic vibe that spawns a cozy nuance that you will fall in love with. Moreover, the property is only minutes away from some great locations!
Crystal and Ricardo certainly made me feel welcomed! Everything went smoothly from arrival to departure and I appreciated their flexibility and the comfort and convenience of their home and their friendliness. The location was perfect for me, a quiet neighborhood with bungalows and gardens, only a pleasant ten minute walk to where I was spending the days, but also just off Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King so very convenient to Portland in general. Regrets - that I didn't get to go blueberry picking with them or have the time to relax in their comfortable garden. Maybe next time...
About the Host, Crystal And Ricardo
I am a Portland native and I love it here. Ricardo has been here since 2000. We love to travel too! I work at Trader Joes, attend Portland State University, and make candles. Ricardo works for an awesome environmental non profit. We thoroughly enjoy yoga, going on hikes and riding our bikes. We love to watch movies, especially Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, and The Coen Brothers. Portland has a lot of great coffee and beer, which we're passionate about, love to drink, and would be happy to give suggestions on!
