The Space

I have a 2 bdrm duplex. My room is upstairs. I am almost never home. My boyfriend, Ricardo lives here part time too. He works full time and is almost always gone as well. So, more often than not, you would have the place to yourself.

The rental room is downstairs right next to the shared bath. There is a kitchen with all amenities, living room with big screen tv, lots of movies, books, and games, wifi, washing machine and dryer (which you are welcome to use), and a cute little backyard with garden.

I am located blocks from Peninsula Park, a 5 minute walk to Dekum street and a 10 minute walk to Alberta Arts District and Mississippi district, 5 miles to the airport, a 10 min. drive to downtown and the Hawthorne/Belmont area, and a 15 minute drive to St. Johns. TriMet stops are just blocks away. I have 2 bikes to borrow, if you're interested; a cute, old Peugeot and a mountain bike.

I provide you with a clean set of sheets and towels. Treat yourself to coffee, a variety of tea choices, and fruit :)

  • Crystal was out of town, but left clear communication to her as advertised home.
She has a pleasant set up, and was generous in offering drinks.
The neighborhood was modest but respectable - cute little houses in a seemingly safe place. Bilking is a big deal in the area, adding to the attractiveness of the overall environment.

  • Crystal was really great to communicate with in organizing my stay with her. As it turns out, I was unable to stay at her place, as Portland had unseasonably high temperatures that night (97 degrees!) so I needed air-conditioning. But she was very proactive about making sure she was in touch with me before my expected arrival. I would definitely recommend her as a host, and hope to have the chance to actually stay at her place in the future!

  • Crystal is amazing! Absolutely loved staying here. Great house and room. The suburb is absolutely beautiful. Was blown away by the rose garden nearby. Wish I had more time here! Thanks for the hospitality and the sightseeing advice. I will be back soon for sure!

  • Crystal and Ricardo were both wonderful hosts! The listing is in a very nice part of Portland and while it's a ways from Downtown, it's really easy to get there with their bike or bus. The surrounding neighborhood was very nice, close to Alberta Arts District and Peninsula Park.
The room itself is very nice and cozy. The bed is super comfy and the room itself very roomy. There is an interesting exercise ball chair by the desk that takes a while to get used to, but is nice nonetheless.

All in all it was a wonderful stay, Crystal and Ricardo were amazing hosts, so I couldn't recommend this place any more!

  • This is a great little spot in Northeast Portland. Crystal and Ricardo are super nice and friendly, and were extremely helpful with anything we needed.

The pictures don't really do the house justice. It's a really cute and cozy little character home on pretty tree-lined street.

    Highly recommended.

  • I really enjoyed my stay there, since the house is very beautiful. However, it is a pity that I didn't meet Crystal face to face, as my schedule is very tight. Thank Crystal again for having me there.

  • the place was more than we expected and nicer than pictured. it's in a very nice suburban area close to a bus stop to get into the heart of Portland, and the hammock in the back garden is the perfect place for some quiet time.the hosts were very patient and accommodating. our initial arrival was late but crystal was very friendly and we worked it out so that it wasn't a hassle to them and we didn't feel like a burden. this was our first airbnb experience and it was lovely! would recommend.

About
I am a Portland native and I love it here. But, I love to travel too! I work at Trader Joes, attend Portland State University, and make candles. I thoroughly enjoy yoga, going on hikes and riding my bike. I love to watch movies, especially Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, and The Coen Brothers. Portland has a lot of great coffee and beer, which I am passionate about, love to drink, and would be happy to give suggestions on!
