The space

This is nearly 100 year old cabin in the woods on the White Salmon river. Cabin 20 is the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. It is rustic but has all the amenities of modern home. It is light filled and cozy. There is a loft with a queen futon and 2 twin beds. There is a full sized bed in the downstairs(it is open plan). The kitchen is large and great for cooking. There are 2 eating areas inside and 3rd outside on the deck. The views are beautiful from all points inside the cabin. It is a short walk from the rafting pullout for world class white water rafting. There are several rafting companies just up the road in Husum. Trail heads are short walk from the front door. The great thing about Cabin 20 is that it feels remote but its near to everything: White Salmon, Hood River, Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, wineries, horseback riding, rafting, hiking, kayaking, fishing, wind surfing. biking, berry picking (summer), snow sports/play (winter). I enjoy all of it but my favorite thing to do is to sit on the deck and read and bird watch. It is a really special place....

Beautiful and calming. A great spot to explore Mt. Adams or Mt. Hood. We loved our winter stay in this adorable cabin in the woods.

We spent 5 amazing days in this nice cabin in the woods next to mountain river. The place is very well equipped: we found everything we needed during our stay. The central piece of the cabin is danish wooden stove, Morsø, that kept us warm and cozy. Great place and fantastic…

This is such a great place! I think any of the other reviewers who said the wood stove didn’t heat enough in the winter weren’t very good at keeping the stove going efficient. We didn’t have any issues once we got the coals hot enough. ALSO sooooo many kitchen amenities, i’m…

An amazing cabin with plenty amenities! Perfect for a family with kids to spend, love the style and the decor, in some ways it felt like like I went back into the 80s with certain style of things. It does get a but chilly in the cabin in the winter though

Very secluded, in a good way! There’s other cabins around it, but it’s so peaceful out there that you can’t even tell if the others are occupied or not! I went solo, so it was PLENTY of space, would be perfect for a family too! Great hospitality, and so eccentrically decorated…

The space was absolutely lovely! I really appreciated the lighting in all the right places, the wonderful mix of rustic and modern decor, and the vintage appliances. The decorating sense really inspired me to get busy in my own home! I will say we came in December with snow on…

I'm a 40 something mother of 3. One of my beauties is grown and out on her own the others are still at home. I have lived in Portland for the past 12 years, before that I was in Venice, Ca and before that San Francisco. I'm most happily married and surprised to be a stay at home…
