  • This location is a perfect place to discover NY! We stay there 4 nights, family with 2 girls (14, 12y), got the top floor of the house with 2 rooms. Room are nice and clean, kitchen well equiped with all you may need and everything working well. Clean bathroom, all was provided there by Carnen to us (towels, shampoo, hairdryer ...). Really perfect accomodation for a very good price.15 minutes walk to ferry to Manhattan (which is free, going each 30 minutes), this give us a perfect view to Liberty statue and Manhattan scenery at morning on way to Manhattan, and midnight lights returning back. This view you can have only from the ferry / Staten Island. Area is safe, we were walking each morning and very late night from/to terminal, it is 15 min, but there are also buses stopping directly on front of the house, and last days we used 7 USD daily parking directly on ferry terminal. Carmen is a perfect host, it was very friendly welcome and introduction of house, area close to the house and also about ferry to Manhattan. Thanks to Carmen and this house we got perfect 4 days in NY. I really recomend this accomodation.

  • Carmen was a very helpful host. She met us at the apartment, and gave us all of the information we needed. She was very friendly and email during our stay to make sure that everything was kay. She even offered to come see us off, but we had to leave at 4:30 am, so we didn't get to say good bye. The space is great if you are planning on being out and about which we were. If your are planning on relaxing and staying in, it is a little small in the living area. The walk to the ferry is doable, but it is pretty steep in areas. We opted to take the bus since we had our children with us. We felt safe in the neighborhood, and even walked home late at night with our children one time. The ferry ride was wonderful and we were able to save on lodging by staying in Staten Island which allowed us to do more activities. It does take quite a bit of time to get into the central park area though, so plan for about an hour and a half to two hour commute by the time you get to the ferry, take it across, and then get on the subway. I would definitely suggest staying here if you are looking for budget friendly way to enjoy New York.

  • Wonderful stay! Great and easy access to ferry.

  • The place is exactly the same as it is on the pictures. It is really clean. The only thing to be aware is that it is under the roof and you have to pass quite a steep stairs to get there. We were with 4-years old girl and it was not a problem for her.
The neighborhood is safe and quite. If you sleep in the leaving room you may hear the passing busses and the fridge.
It is indeed 15-20 minutes walk to the ferry or 10 minutes by bus. The bus stop is very close.
Carmen is very attentive host. She is trying to make her clients feeling like at home and tries meeting all guests' requests.

  • I stayed at the apartment for 6 weeks, much longer than an average Airbnb stay and I loved it! It's spacious, clean and has everything you need. Carmen is an excellent host and checked up on me whenever she could to see how I was doing and if there were any problems. It's close to the ferry for those who frequently go to the city. I'd recommend this place to everyone!

  • This place was perfect for us. Our kids had never been to Manhattan and this was a great way to introduce them to life in New York as a resident might see it. The ferry commute was ideal and the apartment was clean, cozy and comfortable. Carmen was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it highly to anyone else.

  • We had the best time!!! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, shops are walking distance, it is only a 10min walk to the ferry, there were friendly people always willing to help and our hosts were attentive, friendly and caring. It was the best holiday ever and we would recommend anyone to go.

  • Great place to stay to visit New York in a lovely, friendly neighbourhood not far from the ferry terminal and free ferry to downtown Manhattan past the Statue of Liberty. The apartment was clean and equipped and there were nice touches such as bathroom toiletries and tea, coffee and sugar. The apartment was also well heated which was welcome given the weather was very cold when we visited. The bus stops (free bus rides with the metro card) were virtually outside the apartment and the trip to the ferry terminal only took 5 minutes on the bus, whilst walking took between 10 and 15 minutes. There were a range of shops in the immediate vicinity as well as in and around the ferry terminal. Carmen was very hospitable and keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We'd definitely recommend it to others and would stay here again.

  • I stayed here for 4 days and had a wonderful time. The house was exactly as I saw in photos. Host was very friendly and answered all the questions I had to ask. Ferry is only a 10 min walk away and the views are spectacular.
