Lovely flat In the heart of Pigneto with a large terrace overlooking the animated main street of Pigneto. The area is lovely. Obviously not very many places in Rome are immune from tourists, but certainly Pigneto feels more like a normal urban, genuine and true neighborhood than a tourist area. Artists, young people, gourmets come here every night to sit, talk in front of a good glass of wine. or listen to live music. In the morning the pedestrian area becomes a colourful market, where to buy fruit, vegetables, Roman specialties and handycraft.
The apt is very well equipped with fridge, freezer, electric oven, microwave, fans, air conditioning, heater, TV and DVD player, dishwasher and washing-machine. Shets, blankets, duvets are furnished as well as dishes , cutlery and pots and everything necessary to cook and to eat. A roof terrace is available with a washing machine and space to hang the laundry.
It's the ideal place for a couple + two guests who really want to understand and visit the city and at the same time live in a trendy area mixed with the flavour of the old and authentic Rome.
In the terrace you can relax, enjoy your own "happy hour", the sun and fresh air and also take part of the "movida" without moving from home.
When the time comes to explore the city ancient center, you can take a tram (14 or 5) or bus 105 to reach Termini, or the 81 that takes you straight to Piazza Venezia. All public transport are at a 3 min. walking distance.
We had a great stay in Rome and this was also because of Ludovicas appartment. It is a very lighty and cosy place, where everything is well organised. Everything you may need you'll find it! Pigneto is a quiet young neighbourhood which can be a bit noisy at night but during the day u have a really nice market in via del pigneto where u can buy fresh fruits and vegetables for a good price! The center of Rome and other sights can be reached easily with public transport.
My parents had an enjoyable stay at Lodovica's apartment in Rome. There were a little apprehensive in planning the stay as they had not used the AirBnB service before but Lodovica's clear communication prior to the visit put them at ease and answered all of their questions about arriving at the apartment and whom to contact during their stay.
The apartment isn't in the centre of Rome but my parents tell me that it can be easily reached from Roma Termini by trams 5 and 14 (about 7 stops from Termini, get of near the Acquila Cinema). From the apartment, tram 19 will take you all the way to the Vatican. My parents estimate that all of Rome's major sites could be reached in a 25 minute walk from the apartment.
The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, nice and warm in the winter and very secure. The immediate local area has a bakery, butcher, pharmacy and supermarket, making it very easy to shop for provisions for the apartment. In the day time, the local area hosts a fruit and vegetable market. By night, the area transforms into a vibrant local restaurant scene. My parents said that some noise from the street below could be heard in the apartment in the evenings but that this would die down by midnight.
Lodovica wasn't actually in Rome during the time of my parents visit but the gentlemen left in charge was extremely helpful throughout - he even stayed late at the apartment on the evening of my parents' arrival when they had trouble finding their way to the apartment after opting to take the tram rather than a cab. Thanks to Lodovica, my parents had a positive experience of renting a holiday apartment and I'm sure they'll now want to try renting other apartments in the future.
This apartment is highly recommended, not only for short but also for long stays: a bright house with a large bath- and bedroom, a nice living room with open kitchen, two fantastic terraces, close to good transport facilities, a very lively area with a wealth of small restaurants and, last but not least, a very friendly and helpful owner.
Beautiful and stylish apartment on the vibrant main street in Pigneto. The apartment was very well equipped for self catering and had really thoughtful touches which made us feel right at home. We walked into the city centre most days and there is also easy access to trams and buses. There is a street market right on the doorstep in the mornings and lots of lovely bars and cafes close by. Lodovica made the booking process easy and was friendly and informative throughout. Her friend met us at the apartment and collected the keys when we left (early Sunday morning, which was very nice of her!).
Evenings on the terrace were a real highlight of our trip. It was lovely to have this outdoor space so close to the centre of Rome. I would definitely recommend this apartment - thanks Lodovica!
We had a lovely stay at Lodovicas Apt.! The flat was like we imagined it. Even better. The terrece was very nice to sit there in the evenings and there was another terrace on the roof top. There was a warm welcome with some basic things like water and juice. If you like to have breakfast, there is a bakery, a supermarket and a vegetable-market very close. There are also very nice restaurants and bars around. The tram is just 3 minutes away and you are in 10 minutes at the termini.
Lodovica was very kind and welcoming throughout the reservation progress, she was very easy to talk with. She couldn't be at rome when we arrived, but her friends met us at the apartment. They were both really nice and helpful to us and explained everything about the apt. The apartment itself was exactly like in the photos, very clean and trendy. We loved the area of Pigneto, especially the street where the house was located. At the evenings the street and its restaurants were full with life, people and good food. It was also easy and quite fast to go by public transport to the city center. We had one of our best weeks in our lives in Rome, and for a big part it was because of Pigneto and its lively streets.
