Newly renovated private suite

House - Private room · North Oak Lane, State College, PA 16803, United States

The Space

Renovated first floor room with attached full bath available. The suite was renovated in 2012 and has only been used by guests. The room has a separate entrance from outside so you can come and go as you like and to keep everything securely in your room. Queen bed with all linens, including towels, will be provided. Free wi-fi is available and a mini fridge and keurig coffemaker are included in the suite.

We are located in Park Forest Village, a quiet neighborhood on the north side of State College. Our backyard is partially wooded which makes it a lovely, peaceful place to relax. Downtown, Beaver Stadium, and the PSU campus is a short taxi ride away, a couple of miles. We are on the bus route as well. Restaurants, Wegmans, and Target are in walking distance.

We will typically be in the upstairs of the house if any issues arise. We have cats but they will not be in the room. If you are allergic cats, please be aware. We are a family with one child. We try to keep things quiet until 10am and after 8pm for our guests.

Please let us know if you need an earlier check in or a later checkout. We will try to accommodate if possible.

Football and some event weekends are a two night minimum. Please refer to the calendar for details.

  • I had a great time here - it's quiet and peaceful, and with easy access to downtown. Newly renovated and very clean, I would recommend it to anyone!

  • This is a lovely one bedroom suite within a private home. If you need a place to stay in the State College area that is primarily for sleeping I recommend this location. There is easy access in/out from a separate entrance the the room is nice and comfortable. There is a family in the house which means noise at times when you likely will be sleeping. If you sans kids like me and like to sleep in on the weekends this may not be the place for you! If you are an early riser than definitely a good locale.

  • Andrea's private suite was lovely. The suite was well kept and very clean. The private entry made coming and going easy and hassle free. Campus proximity is a big bonus in State College, and with the help of a cab or bus it was very easy to get there and back. Andrea even kept her suite stocked with toiletries, amenities, and coffee. Thanks again, Andrea!

  • Andrea's place was perfect for a short stay over a home game weekend. The room is very private (totally removed from the rest of the house), bed is comfortable and the shower is great! Coffee/tea, snacks, and water (there's a fridge) was a nice touch. I'm allergic to cats but had no reaction thanks to the cleanliness and privacy of the suite. Quick 5-minute, $10 cab ride to College Ave if you don't want to worry about driving. Would stay again!

  • Superb experience. I needed a comfortable place to stay during the busy schedule of an academic workshop, and Andrea's place was perfect. Quiet, very clean, and having coffee/tea and snacks in the room was great.

  • Andrea and her husband were wonderful hosts! They graciously accommodated our late arrival from NYC and made sure we were always stocked with little extras, like bottles of water and fresh towels, while leaving us to enjoy our weekend. The suite is lovely with a super comfortable bed and large, clean bathroom. Having a private entrance was also great - allowing us to come and go without disturbing our hosts. Can't say enough good things, especially given the shortage of affordable hotel rooms on PSU football weekends. Skip the hotel and stay here!

  • We could not find a hotel room in the State College area, so we turned to AirBnB and found, to our surprise, something better. This suite was recently updated, clean, attractive ... and about half the price of cheapest hotel rooms (if you could find any). And, we really appreciated the private entrance so that we didn't have to bother our hosts, who were quite nice and accommodating. We appreciated the cleanliness, the TV, and the food items (coffee, tea, snacks, and water). We would most certainly stay here again.

  • Lovely private room and very clean! This was my first Airbnb experience and it was a great one. Nice young couple. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

  • Andrea's place was very cozy and clean. We arrived very late (sorry about that) and they accommodated our late check in with no problem. I would recommend their suite if I visit the area again. Very considerate and nice hosts.

  • Andrea and Zach were perfect hosts! The room was fresh and clean, the bath was located directly off the room and with a separate entrance we enjoyed our privacy...tho it might've been fun to share some time with our hosts! The coffee and snacks left for us were an added treat. This unpaid endorsement --- BOOK IT ... We'll be back!
