We intend to have a great and peaceful relation with the neighbors so please do not make too much noise at night. Non smokers are preferred, but smokers are welcome too. (I just ask to smoke at the window)
The exit cleaning is included in the price but I ask the flat to be left in good conditions: tidy, garbage emptied, cooking ware and dining ware cleaned and put back in the cupboards.
Officially check in is 4 pm and check out is 10 a.m. If no one has vacated the apartment the morning you arrive, you may check in as early as you like. In the event that someone has just vacated the apartment the morning you arrive, I will do my best to accommodate an early check in.
For check-out, If your flight/train is later in the day and another client is arriving immediately after you, we will check you out by 10 a.m, arrange for you to leave your luggage (if it is possible), and have you come back while the maid is still cleaning.
Apart from that we are just whishing that you will spend a wonderful stay in Paris!
Feel welcome accurate description neighbourhood
Gianni was great in all his correspondence. Really prompt and all instructions were really clear. Although he couldn't meet us to give us the keys, his friend did and there was no hassle with this. The apartment was exactly as described and as it appears in the pictures. For a Parisian apartment, the size is quite good, it has everything that you could need including bedding, towels, a hairdryer, soap, washing up liquid etc. The apartment has a really charming and eclectic style with lots of mid-century flourishes. The bed is very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. The views over the rooftops of Paris was great and we loved watching the light show of the Eiffel Tower in the evenings. The building itself is charming and felt very safe. It was really quiet. The area is great. Just a short walk from Canal St. Martin and lots of nice bars and restaurants. The Goncourt metro stop is just a three minute walk and the larger Republique stop is a little further. I would recommend Gianni's apartment highly and would stay here again if I came back to Paris
Gianni was quick to respond to any queries that we had about the apartment prior to and during our stay. He was a very reliable host. We really loved the apartment - for the views! And also for the fact that Goncourt is a great neighbourhood to be in, it has great shops with reasonable prices, lovely patisseries and it is very close to Republique which is a great night out - that we actually could walk to from our apartment.
The decor is charming and quirky and some major pluses are the sound system, the coffee maker and the gorgeous lamps around the place. The only problems were the 100 odd steps we had to climb every day - depending on how many times we were in and out, and also there is no wardrobe and not much space to store clothes. We didnt really cook as there is just a microwave and some hobs, no oven - but then we are not really stay-at-home and cook kind of girls, we were out most of the time.
The apartment has a great collection of interesting books, some tourism ones and then some not, which gives the place a kind of French authentic feel. It really is a lovely haven to spend a holiday in Paris. And you will discover that you are not too far from some spectacular artists in the area!
The apartment is a true gem, tastefully furnished and located in a lively, authentic and save but not too gentrified neighborhood. Its rather small size gives it a romantic and cute ambiance; it still has all the amenities and comfort that you need for an urban vacation … and even more. Gianni was extremely forthcoming and friendly, despite my sometimes confusing communication. He was also very flexible regarding the checking in and out. We really enjoyed our stay and are glad to have found this great apartment and a superb host.
We stayed one month at Gianni's and he and Antonio were extremely communicative hosts. While we didn't get to meet Gianni until check-out, we had a lovely conversation with him at that point - a very warm individual - and the neighbour Tatiana was very friendly and helpful upon check-in, showing us all the little details of the apartment and giving us plenty of advice on things to do and where to get the best deals and products in the neighbourhood. They also had a nice welcome basket of fruits and bread which really set us up nicely for our first couple of days. The neighbourhood is great - extremely vibrant and multi-cultural, close to some of the best up and coming restaurants, wine bars, coffee shops and bakeries. With the canal St Martin only a few blocks away and the Buttes Chaumont a 10 minute walk, you are within minutes of beautiful romantic walks, charming boutique shopping districts, open-air markets and a hip night scene. Also, being halfway between Belleville and Republique, you have easy access to 6 subway lines allowing you to travel freely within the city, getting almost anywhere you need in 20 minutes or less. The only difficulty we ran into while staying at Gianni's was with the plumbing. When doing dishes the water from the kitchen sink would sometimes back up the drain in the shower - an inconvenience but not unmanageable once we altered our dishwashing system. :) Also worth mentioning is that if you happen to be a very tall or large individual (180 cm +), you may find the shower a bit cramped - for me, a woman of 173 cm it was fine but my partner found it a little more challenging. That said, it is quite typical for a Parisian apartment, and though it can get slightly chilly, being on the top floor, Gianni the heaters provided are more than sufficient to adjust the temperature to your liking. Though it does require walking to the top floor, the views over the Parisian rooftops make it certainly worth the climb; and, the neighbours, location, Gianni and large comfy beds certainly make it worth the stay. As two people who came to Gianni last minute when our other booking fell through, the helpfulness of him and Tatiana in getting the apartment ready for us and settling us in is something we will always be grateful for and will never forget. You will not go wrong renting from Gianni as he will accommodate anyway he can to give you the stay you are looking for.
Gianni's place is perfect for a getaway to Paris. It has a nice view, it has a great location and it's beautiful. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area and really close to a metro station. Communication with Gianni was easy and so was check in and check out. I highly recommend it.

I live mostly in Rome and part-time in Paris. I rent out my Parisian flat when I'm not there (often). Been renting it for 6 years now, it's a cosy flat, in a vibrant neighbourhood with a super view.
