Mountain and city views

We’re not a polished resort. Not even close, and frankly, that’s the point. The unit you’re staying in is full of quirks, creaks, and surprises that come with age, and you might notice that some updates are still waiting their turn. With that comes a rare chance to stay inside a piece of history.

We ask for your grace and a spirit of adventure. The space may be a little rough around the edges but full of warmth and soul. Your stay directly supports our mission to breathe life into the ranch.

The space
The Space:
There are two small bedrooms, one loft with access to an outdoor patio right from the bedroom. Both beds are twin size to allow for the cozy space and 2 guests.
You will find the quaint kitchen stocked with all your essentials: coffee pot, large fridge, toaster oven, utensils, induction stove and pots and pans.
The beautiful cast-iron, clawfoot soaking tub and shower combo will transport you to simpler times. Relax in the courtyard with your morning coffee and/or sit outside at sunset to watch for wildlife. This is a desert ranch, so there are some desert-aware instructions your hosts will provide when you arrive! Come stay and enjoy our unique accommodations!

This unit is connected to another unit (next to each other) and share a courtyard.

Tucson Mountain Guest Ranch – Stay with History, Heart, and a Few Quirks

Welcome to our little corner of the desert, where saguaros stand tall, time moves slower, and every crack in the adobe has a story to tell.

The Tucson Mountain Guest Ranch isn’t your average getaway—it’s part of a living restoration project rooted in care, patience, and deep respect for the past. Once a retreat for legends like John Wayne, Clark Gable, and Eleanor Roosevelt, the ranch holds decades of desert lore in its sunbaked bones. Most of the structures here date back to the 1930s and 1940s, and while we’re working hard to bring them back to life, it’s a process we’re taking organically and delicately—just a small group of folks with a lot of love for this land.

So come enjoy the desert, the old-world charm, the imperfect beauty—and be a part of something bigger than a vacation. Be part of the story.

IMPORTANT:

The space is rented as is. And there maybe other ongoing restorations happening around the ranch as we speak as we are always working on restoring this unique and important place. It is nowhere near "perfect" and have some quarks and characters to say the least. It is an old structure, a historically important old structure. So please be mindful of delicateness of some things. We thank you so much in advance for your understanding of its imperfection at the moment.

Just 20minutes away from Sprouts (Grocery Store), downtown is just as close and less than 30 minutes to Tucson International Airport. You can also take a wonderful scenic drive to the Old Tucson attraction in just 10 - 15 minutes.
It is just as easy to get to any amenities you can think of though when you are in Las Lomas you are surrounded by Arizona's gorgeous wilderness with wild animals just outside of your windows, so you forget how close you are to all of that.
