The apartment’s location is definitely unique, just on the back of the Basilica of Piazza Santo Spirito in one of the most characteristic areas of Florence. Here we can still find traditional artisan workshops, where craftsmen work like centuries ago - instead of tourist-shops characterizing many Florentine squares.
Santo Spirito is the only square of Oltrarno where a foods and clothes market is held each day; once in the month an organic agriculture market and an antiquarian market are also held here.Santo Spirito square has a long tradition in festivals too, still today concerts and various events make this square to one thriving centre of night life in Florence.
Crossing Ponte Santa Trinita you arrive in 5 minutes in Via Tornabuoni one of the world’s most famous fashion shopping streets, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and the famous Uffizi Gallery are only 10 minutes away.
The apartment is easily accessible by public transport (15/20 minutes from the main train station Santa Maria Novella) and is located in the restricted traffic zone, however is available a public pay parking just 1 km away (then in 5 minutes bus you reach the apartment).
PLEASE NOTICE : INTERNET 3G IS NOT RELIABLE IS VERY SLOW AND SOMETIMES DOESN'T WORK BECAUSE OF CONGESTED LINES
Please notice that check-in after 20.30 are not recommended (I have to ask someone to bring you the keys).
Please be respectful with the apartment.
Leave the apartment as you found it: take out the rubbish and put dishes, cutlery and pans where they belong.
Just act like you'd do in your own house (don't leave the windows opened when air conditioned or heating is on, walking with shoes on sofas, leave everything dirty...) :)

Arriving post 9pm as the flight was delayed Matteo waited which was appreciated.
The apartment is spacious and in the perfect location to enjoy Florence.
We did find having only one window in the apartment challenging as it's very dark and of course no views to the outside world.
It's a great apartment for a couple of nights only as any longer and you will be needing somewhere with windows.
No aircon made sleeping difficult as opening the window allows many mosquitoes to enter the bedroom.
Monica and Matteo were very helpful and patient when we arrived, as a big rainstorm kept us from finding our way - on top of a late train! They were gracious and easy-going to help us reschedule the meet-up.
The apartment was spacious and a VERY convenient location in the middle of the city, within easy walking distance of the train station and the major attractions (Uffizi, Accademia, Duomo, and especially Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens). Hot showers and a nice bed were something we really looked forward to after several sleeper trains, and this place delivered. The only amenity one of us wanted more of was internet - we are used to much faster connections.
More importantly, as this is not something that our hosts can change, do be aware that the apartment is on the ground floor and you can hear *everything* from the streets. The bar patrons walking home provide erratic noise from about 10pm-1am on Tuesday through Sunday evenings; trucks and other street traffic begins around 7:30-8am. You might not want to rent this apartment if you are a light sleeper or an "early bird." We got used to it, and worked around the noise just (website hidden);dr: Very high quality and value, if you can stand a little noise.
We stayed at Monica's and Matteo's apartment for 4 nights and we loved it! The location of the flat is fantastic, walking distance from everything. The neighbourhood is also very nice, has a bit of a 'local touch', especially the area around Santo Spirito church. Lots of nice little restaurants as well. The flat has everything you need, it's very spacious, although it is a bit dark inside. We were there in mid May so it was warm enough. We didn't have the phone reception inside the flat but that didn't bother us. Bed is super comfortable!!
We would definitely recommend this place!
The room is at a good location, nearby supermarket, river, and mountain. The room is very big with comfortable beds, kitchen. The only point may be the Wi-Fi, it was slow, although most of restaurants have free wifi, but if you prefer use wifi in room, it would be concerned.
