Indulge in a luxury one bedroom guest house... lovingly curated as a complete retreat from the outside world, located in the oldest town on Cape Cod.
The Elevated Escape is loaded with charm and drenched with positive energy. Enjoy exquisite design details including the warmth of wood ceilings, a cushy queen bed, a brick kitchen hearth, SMEG appliances and an over-sized penny tile shower. This love nest was made to encourage connection - whether within yourself or with someone you love!
The space
Full Kitchen: featuring reclaimed Douglas Fir countertops and shelves sourced from Cataumet Sawmill, an Italian variegated cream tile wall, a retro refrigerator, full size dishwasher, vintage cast iron sink, full size stove, microwave and SMEG appliances including coffee maker, blender and toaster. The kitchen also features a brick hearth custom fit for a modern stove and microwave. Fun fact - the fireplace mantel is a salvaged beam from an 1800's barn!
Dining Nook: a cozy bistro table set for two against a chair rail with custom wallpaper depicting scenes from Sandwich to chat about over your morning coffee!
Bathroom: slide the big barn door to reveal a gorgeous, oversized washroom featuring a hand painted ceramic wash basin atop a vintage chest of drawers, hexagon tile floors, a penny tile shower with ample space for two, luxurious linens and a private toilet nook to allow couples to share the space "comfortably".
Living Room: as you step down through the arched doorway, you enter a bohemian lounge. A warm wood ceiling, super comfortable white leather couch, lots of light from the oversized patio doors, natural greenery, rattan lighting, Samsung TV and a swinging nest chair make it super cozy.
Bedroom: a favorite room of our guests! A plush, Sealy Posturepedic queen size bed takes center stage under a 25ft beamed wood ceiling, 10ft tall antique bookcase that houses yet another Samsung TV, luxury bed linens, ample shoe shelving, clothing cubbies and oodles of long hanging space for your summer sundresses! Oh, and LOTS of down pillows!
Terrace: a quintessential Cape Cod white arbor sets apart your private bluestone patio surrounded by hydrangeas and boxwoods, complete with solo stove, cushioned swivel chairs with side tables for drinks & dessert after dining out at one of our incredible culinary experiences in town - or the nearby Mashpee Commons outdoor shopping plaza.
Guest access
The entire guest house is yours including the bluestone solo stove patio, where smoking IS allowed!
There is a separate driveway for your use.
Not suitable for children.
(this suite was definitely designed for adults)
Please note:
There are two steps INTO the guest house from outside and also two steps into the lounge area inside.
There are three entrances to the Elevated Escape... the kitchen door, closest to the driveway, the French doors off the lounge that accesses your private patio, and the back deck door should you wish to enjoy the shared outdoor oasis of the main home. You are WELCOME to explore the grounds!
There is one shared wall between the main house and the airbnb. This is the insulated water pipe wall behind the shower and toilet. The space was specifically designed for maximum privacy for your bedroom, living room and private patio.
