Ali is a kind and friendly host with more than 6 years experience living in Berlin. He can help you find your way around the city, offer some basic German phrases to make your visit more comfortable and recommend some great hidden restaurants, neighborhoods, and special places tourist normally never see!
Gesundbrunnen is in the Wedding neighborhood of Mitte, a culturally-diverse, family-friendly, vibrant community with a mix of native Germans and newer immigrants to the country. Close by is a major shopping street with bakeries, ethnic restaurants and grocery stores, internet cafes, parks, discount stores, drug stores and much, much more, including the Berlin Unterwelt (Underworld) Museum. There is something new to discover around every corner in Wedding!
Gesundbrunnen-Center is a small, modern mall with grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, and shopping of every type. It is a great place to wander around, do some people-watching or find something special.
From Gesundbrunnen, you have easy access to both airports, the Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) and are only a few stops away from most of the major tourist sites in Berlin like the Brandenburg Tor, Unter den Linden, Alexander Platz, Friedrichstrasse, Museum Insel, Potsdamer Platz, Zoo, Kurfuerstendamm, Hackescher Markt, etc. The popular bars, clubs and restaurants in trendy Prenzlauerberg are just a couple of stops away on the Ring-Bahn.
The trains from Gesundbrunnen are:
Ring-Bahn – S41 and S42
Intracity train service to all of Germany and beyond via Berlin’s Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof)
We would enjoy having you stay during your visit to Berlin!

Great location, super close to the metro station Gesundbrunnen which has a whole bunch of lines running to/from it. Also close to a big mall.
Very clean, comfortable and Ali was a great host. You're right at Gesundbrunnen and from there in 5 min in Mitte.
The room was ery clean, quiet and comfortable! Very close to all public transportaion and shopping. If you co,e to Berlin you should save yourself some money and stay here!
Ali and Alicia also were fantastic with directions and advice... I alos got to do laundry here :)
A really nice location in Wedding, well connected to the rest of the city, including to Kreuzberg. Shopping center and huge park nearby. A comfy big (and bright indeed) room with everything you need in the flat. In general very cozy and chilled atmosphere and a nice host.
The host (Ali) was really cool. I was very unfamiliar with Berlin so he met me at the main train station to show me how to get to his place. He also showed me where I could buy cheap food and an international phone card. As long as you are respectful, Ali will return that respect. I would definitely stay here again!
The room was huge and had a great big window. Everything was super clean and the host, Ali was a very kind man. I am very satisfied with the stay.
The host was very reliable, friendly and dependable. The place is very very charming and pretty well located, close to subways, S-Bahns, a large mall and even a underground bunker tour. Huge room with pleasant urban view, good and controllable heating, nice kitchen (could have a couple utensils more, but really nothing much missing).
By far, our best AirBNB location visited so far!
I had a great time in Berlin, largely due to the excellent accommodation of Alicia's apartment. I stayed for a weekend with a goal to see all the sights in the city and to check out the Berlin nightlife. Alicia's apartment is situated right near a subway which has trains heading into the city on a regular basis, so with a 3 day public transport pass I could get to anywhere I desired.
The apartment is also located right next to a massive shopping centre with a supermarket, various fast food places and other stores.
Ali, Alicia's husband, was an excellent host who ensured I knew where things were and that I had an enjoyable stay in Berlin.
This is not the sort of shared apartment where the host hovers over you. In fact, Alicia is in NYC and her husband Ali (due to work) was only always available when you need him. Alicia emailed me the "House Rules" and detailed information on how to get to the apartment days before my arrival while Ali gave me his mobile number and told me I could call him if I needed anything. Ali also carried my bags up and down the four flights of stairs when I arrived and checked out and he was helpful on places that I should go to and see.
Four stars for this apartment room in Bellermannstraße:
1) The place was quiet. It was definitely the place to stay for R&R after a night of partying in not-so-far away happening district Prenzlauer Berg. The apartment is on the 4th floor of the building but I did not hear any of the other people next door or downstairs/upstairs from my room.
2) The room was large and has all the basic amenities I needed. The sofa bed was just the right firmness. I know that most people like soft beds while I like them quite on the firm side. The huge windows that open to the side or from the top was also cool. Closet space was okay, and the desk/work area was useful.
3) The room was clean and I had access to the washing machine. After 1.5 weeks of traveling, I needed to wash my clothes and Ali helped me operate the machine that has buttons labeled in German. Also, the bathroom was kept clean at all times and towels were provided.
4) The apartment is less than five minute walk to the Gesundbrunnen Station where many S-Bahn lines and U-Bahn 8 stops so pretty much all of Berlin's top spots are just a train away. I also liked that I didn't have to look far for shops because Gesundbrunnen Center is just a block away.
This was a reasonable place for a great stay in the Mitte area of Berlin.
Ali (Alicia's husband) was an incredible host! He really went out of his way to make our arrival in Berlin easy and comfortable. He helped us find phones and showed us around the area. It was an excellent location, with parks, public transport and lots of shopping nearby.
The apartment was very clean and Ali was quiet and friendly. Great place to stay!
