The space

3 bedroom apartment with very spacious beautiful garden. One of the rooms is a wooden garden house with toilet which serves as a guest room. Large living room with oak wooden floor and open (modern) kitchen. Modern bathroom with bath-tub, separate shower and toilet. Second toilet in hall. Spacious bedrooms (4x3 m2). The big backyard (175m2)is probably the unique selling point of this apartment, and makes it especially apt for families with children. It has several sitting areas, sunny all day through: peace and quiet very close to the center of Amsterdam.

Area:
Green residential suburb of Amsterdam, a 15 minute busride from the center of Amsterdam (day and night!) and only a 7 minute walk to the 'Amsterdamse Bos', a forrest like park where one can enjoy walks, biking tours, free children's swimming pool, canoeing etc. Parking space in front of the house always available for free. Big shopping center a ten minute walk away.

The place was ok, very spacious living room/kitchen to hang out. Most disappointing part was the cleanness, as the floors had dust and hair and the gas-cooker and the pans were oily. The location is not the best, as the buses mentioned 170, 172 and 174 are private line, not part of the GVB, so no option to buy a card. One way ticket to Central Station is 5EUR. Subway (Oranjebaan station) is 15min. walk from the house. Despite that the overall experience is positive considering the cheap price!

Amstelveen and the place itself was very cool, we had a really great time there. The house is very comfortable, spacious so it was a very nice place to return :) The park next to it is awesome.

We are a family with 4 kids and stayed in the property for a week. This is a really nice house in a peaceful neighbourhood. We especially liked the park next to the house, where we found a bird sanctuary. Our kids enjoyed the swing in the front garden, as well as the lush green back garden. A big shopping centre is only a 10 minute walk away. Casper turned out to be a wonderful host, who helped us in many ways and went way beyond the call of duty: he sorted out an issue with our travelcards, gave us tips and suggestions, and kindly let us use his cargo bike as well as his son's toys. We also enjoyed taking care of his cat Rayo, who was very quiet and friendly. We felt that for one of our kids to sleep all alone in the little cabin across the garden was a bit worrisome, so we moved the bedding for all the kids to sleep in the main house. We also felt that the house had just been vacated by the host's family for our stay and was quite cluttered with their belongings, leaving us little space in the wardrobes and the kitchen for our own stuff.

The host was very welcoming during our stay and gave us all the information we needed to settle in. The house is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. One of the best airbnbs that I have stayed in; if not the best!

The weather had turned cool for our visit to Amsterdam and it was nice to come back to Casper's cosy and warm apartment in the evenings situated in a peaceful and leafy green neighbourhood. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out and the apartment is just as pictured. Everything is within easy access and it's about a 30min bus ride to Central Amsterdam - can really recommend the Nemo science museum and the 'Hep Scheepvaartmuseum' Maritime museum for kids and adults alike. We didn't get to meet Casper but communication was good and we loved looking after Rayo the cat. Would definitely recommend to those who don't mind being out of the centre of Amsterdam and would like room to spread out in comfort!

Casper and Isabel are wonderful hosts. And his cat Rayo is a pleasent companion )) The hous is perfect for short (and I beleive for long) stay. Lovely garden and cozy garden house. Beatiful quiet neibourhood, great for the rest. Direct buses to the center and goes quite often. We spent there 5 great days. Would reccomend to anyone of any interest and age.

I am a practicing psychologist and like doing sports and playing music (tenor saxophone). 'In my day' I have travelled quite a lot, but in recent years things have slowed down for me a little bit in that area. I value friendship and integrity above all! My lovely son Matías is 10 years old and lives with me parttime.
