  • This loft was amazing! Close to everything but quiet, cozy but sunny during the day and perfect walking distance for going out nights. Plus the Riverwalk is only two blocks away, which made morning runs super easy and gorgeous. We had a wonderful stay and Dan was very friendly, communicative and accommodating. This would definitely be my first choice for anyone looking for a fun downtown Wilmington experience! P.S. - There's a coffee shop literally around the corner...so perfect for the mornings :)

  • Had a great stay at this loft. Central to downtown, the apartment building is an easy walk to a wide variety of the restaurants and bars Wilmington has to offer. The loft is extremely spacious and Dan was an exceptionally gracious host. As a former resident of Wilmington, I would recommend this spot for anyone who wants an authentic experience of the city. We will definitely return to this loft on future trips.

  • Pontiac Place is so-called because it used to be a Pontiac dealership in the 1940s. The space is now broken up into lofts. Dan's place is at the back (off the street, although it looks out onto several parking lots) and is very quiet, on the whole. It is spacious and has 2 full bathrooms (one with a shower & tub, one with a standing shower). Tons of windows allow the space to be very light and open feeling. The bed was comfortable. The location is perfect for walking around the historic downtown area and we were never more than 5 - 10 minutes from coffee, bars, restaurants and museums. There is also a covered parking space in the garage which was perfect since we had a car. The kitchen is outfitted with dishes, glasses, pots & pans and appliances, but there wasn't mucj in the cupboards, so you'll have to hit Trader Joe's if you want to do any cooking. Dan was EXCELLENT with his communications and instructions and incredibly attentive if we needed anything. I could not think of a better place to stay for our first time in Wilmington!

  • Pontiac Place was a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, private, safe, cozy and comfortable. It turned out to be the perfect place to stay while moving my daughter to college.

  • Fantastically Superb! Had everything we needed to enjoy a nice 3 day holiday in Wilmington. The whole place was spotless. Bathrooms clean enough for the Queen of England. Dan was very helpful, check in and check out went extremely smooth.

Definitely would stay here again, and would recommend others to stay as well!

  • Super cute and conveniently located spot in Wilmington. My family and I went for a weekend for a soccer tournament. Dan's place was very spacious and cozy. So much better than staying in a hotel! The place has a full kitchen with all dishes and cookware you need. It was easy to find, getting into the building was easy, and parking was easy. Dan was very easy to deal with and accommodating. I will definitely stay here if we make another trip to Wilmington.

  • Dan was a great host. His place is very nice and right in the middle of downtown which happen to be extremely useful.

  • I was just in Wilmington for a long weekend as part of the Cape Fear Comedy Festival & stayed in Dan's delightful loft with 3 other female comedians from around the country - it was a perfect situation, we could not have asked for a better set up! Dan's loft is comfortable, clean & inviting with all the amenities you could want - we were 2 blocks away from the comedy club, and there were tons of cute restaurants, bars & coffee shops right around the corner as well - if you're staying in Wilmington, this location could not be better! Plenty of natural sunlight and quiet too, it was so nice to have the loft to come back to during the day for a few hours to just relax.

  • Dan has an amazing condo in downtown Wilmington that was easy to locate, very spacious, and extremely clean. We stayed for the Azalea Festival and were in the heart of the action. An easy walk to great restaurants and bars, the parade even ran in front of the condo. This is a great central location, would be an easy drive to either the USS North Carolina or over to Wrightsville Beach if desired. Quiet at night even with windows open and has a nice TV and couch if the weather happens to not cooperate with your trip. Dan's communication was great, specific directions, and excellent recommendations on local food.

About
My wife and I are freelance writers who chose to move from San Francisco to Wilmington 10+ years ago and have never looked back. We love the beach and the river; the ocean is 85 degrees in summer. If you've never been here before, you're in for a treat. Downtown Wilmington is a very hip, happening place. There are two dozen great restaurants and a dozen live music venues within five blocks (yet our property is extremely quiet). It's got the third largest historical district in the southeast (after Charleston and Savannah) and for our money, the nicest. It's great to be able to go out at night in the summer when Wilmington is hopping and not have to worry about finding a parking spot or driving home.
