We had a wonderful stay at the Feathered Nest and we will definitely come back again. The home is modern, warm and extremely clean. Laura & Patrick are perfect hosts who will go the extra mile to make your stay a terrific experience.
The Hudson's "A Feathered Nest" in Amado, AZ was a perfect fit for our Arizona adventure. It was even better than we anticipated. Laura was a wonderful, gracious hostess. She made every effort to guarantee that our stay met with our (email hidden)l the comforts of home.
We highly recommend "A Feathered Nest" to anyone looking for accommodations in SE Arizona.
We are very pleased to have become aware of airbnb, as well, and will definitely use them again.

Laura and Pat are very gracious hosts and we immensely enjoyed our stay in their feathered nest!
The Amado area was the perfect spot for us to pursue our interests. The Santa Rita mountains to the east are full of areas to explore whether you are hiking, or four-wheeling like we were. We were able to locate several geocaches there and enjoyed seeing the gamma ray telescopes at the Whipple Observatory Administrative Complex.
We also enjoyed seeing the museum and presidio location at Tubac, which is only a few miles from Amado. Just a little further south of Tubac is Tumacacori with the remains of a Spanish mission. This old mission and grounds are quite spectacular and well-worth seeing.
Our accommodations lived up to our expectations and we were very pleased with how the house was arranged. Our every comfort was provided for and Pat and Laura let us know they were available with any requests we might have. We especially enjoyed sitting on the back patio in the afternoon and sunning ourselves! The hot tub in the back patio was so enjoyable in the evening.
"A Feathered Nest" is truly set up as a comfortable home-away-from-home, with all the amenities we wanted and more. We especially enjoyed watching the stars from the outdoor hot tub in the evening. Sitting outside after breakfast, we saw a few hummingbirds (yes, even in winter, so we can only imagine what the birding would be like in a better season). The house is a good launching point for a visit to the Tubac/Tumacacori area (where we especially enjoyed dinner at Elvira's restaurant) and to hiking in Madera Canyon. Laura and Pat were very welcoming and gracious hosts. They were good communicators in advance of our stay. Once we were at the house, it was nice to know that they were right next door in their own house. They were very accessible but not intrusive, and we enjoyed our conversations with them.
The Featherd Nest is the most comfortable and beautiful home! We were so happy to be there and Laura was amazing and helpful and incredibly accommodating. We had a big group staying there and she helped us have an excellent and cozy experience. I highly recommend this place!
Laura and Patrick are the most kind and gracious hosts an Airbnb client could have. The house is charming, well laid out, and very clean. It has a lovely homey feel, not a sterile model home feel that some houses exhibit. Its light and bright with lovely appointments.
The mattresses are very comfortable and the showers put out a good flow - 2 important points for me. The kitchen is fully equipped and looks over a lovely garden with a view. The living room is comfortable with big screen TV with cable and free internet access. There is also a nice big dining room table.
The patio hot tub is always on and ready and can accomdate 4-6 people. Jazz on the outside stereo, the hot tub and the brilliant stars are a wonderful way to end your day.
Patrick and Laura will do anything in their power to make your stay the most delightful ever! i enjoy the house and the owners so much, i just finished my second stay and will go back for a third. So convenient between Tubac and Green Valley.
I promise you will be happy here. The price is right and they don't add on huge cleaning and administration fees.
Oh! and you'll love the magnolias and hummingbirds!
