We loved staying here and would definitely book this condo again in the future. Best parts: (1) Location. It's close enough for a quick drive to Kona for all the fun touristy stuff but far enough from the traffic and noise. We were also fairly close to our favorite south beaches too, and had very easy access to a shopping village for groceries and dining. It's very quiet here, no noise from traffic or the residents, and we always had the pool to ourselves. (2) Amenities. We were able to use beach chairs, snorkel gear, cooler, and lots of kitchen supplies. (3) The condo was a great place to hang out. The best place to relax was the lanai, there is a comfy lounge chair for reading and morning coffee, and watching the golfers. If I had anything negative, there were a couple of times I was woken up by the early morning golf course maintenance (my husband slept right through it), but that is typical when staying so close to the greens. And the owner was quick to respond to any issues, and on-site management was very friendly and helpful. Overall this place deserves 5 stars.

Response from Michael:
I spoke with the guest. His wife was afraid of "lizards" but these are geckos in Hawaii and very common. My unit is routinely sprayed every quarter and latest spray was June 6th. I think sometimes visitors from the city (NYC) are not used to the tropics and the outdoors. It has been raining a lot on the big island and that also contributes. In 20-years, I have never had a complaint about bugs or geckos and it is immaculately clean.

Michael's place is in a great location for getting around whether on foot, bike or in a car. It was easy to find and although in a very quiet neighborhood, within walking distance to stores and restaurants. Located in a lovely tranquil area on a golf course. The home was very nicely decorated as well as comfortable. Michael also provided great information regarding places to go and things to do.

Everything you need all in this location. It's central to everything happening in and around Kona, the scenery is epic! It is on a golf course so landscaping is happening fairly early on a regular basis and you may be hit by a golf ball, however both would be worth looking past. From the view, comfort, cable, wifi, bicycles, washer, dryer, dish washer, refrigerator, stove, toaster, coffee maker, free parking, even a pool; the list goes on and on. Stores and restaurants are close by as well as beaches and scenic walks. If you're going to Kona, Hawaii skip a hotel and stay here! You'll creating memories that'll last a lifetime!

Michael's place was amazing- it was in a great location where we could walk to the shopping center which had a grocery store, restaurants, and shops. We could also walk to Keauhou Bay where we could swim or paddle board. We could easily bike (1-2 miles) to nice beaches and take a taxi into the downtown area of Kona. We found so much to do on the Big Island and really enjoyed our Manta Ray scuba dive, visit to the Volcano National Park (must rent a car to get to this side of the island), and our guided tour up Mauna Kea. All in all we had an incredible stay on the Big Island and Michael's place was the perfect home stay for our vacation. Thank you Michael!

About Michael

Welcome to my place in Kona! I'm from San Francisco and get out to Hawaii whenever I can escape. I love outrigger canoeing at Keauhou Canoe Club, hiking to Green Sands beach, swimming from Kailua Pier, scuba diving with the Manta Rays and exploring the lava fields and remote beaches that are only accessible by 4-wheel drive. If you want a relaxing vacation that's super convenient yet off the beaten track, come and visit soon. Aloha!
