We offer large and bright double room with private bathroom in front Wi-Fi, TV, electric iron and ironing board as well as microwave oven, heating, air-conditioning and the use of the kitchen are included.

The Space

We will also supply you with bed sheets and towels. The room is part of an apt of 100 square meters where I live with my wife and our two cats, Pulce and Grisù.

Guest Access

Guests will have mainly access to the bedroom with a private bathroom and we are glad to share our kitchen. Breakfast is not included but we share our things and guests can help themselves.

Interaction with Guests

We like to socialize with our guests without being intrusive. Depending on our and their availability and sociability we tend to share experiences, tips on living and a good glass of wine.

The Neighborhood

The apartment is located few minutes walking from "Trastevere Railway Station" and equally from the district Testaccio. The MACRO museum of modern art, the Pyramid, the Non-Catholic Cemetery, all the attractions of Trastevere and Testaccio are just some of the important points easily accessible from the house.

Getting around

Well connected to the city centre by the tram 8 (10 min far from Torre Argentina), several bus and metropolitan railway (overground). But if you prefer to walk you can get there in just over half an hour along the Tiber River in the shade of the plane trees, the oldest trees in Rome. On the way you will run into Mouth of Truth, the Temple of Venus, Circus Maximus and the Tiberina island on the left, the Jewish ghetto to the right, Marcello Theatre and Piazza Venezia. From there all the most important monuments are within easy reach. For nightlife you can choose from the restaurants and clubs of Trastevere or those of Testaccio. Do not forget to make a jump to the new Testaccio market and the flea market Portaportese (practically next door). Enjoy Rome!
Approximately 30 min from Fiumicino airport (train + 5 minutes walk)
Approximately an hour from Ciampino airport (bus + train + 5 minutes walk)
Approximately 25 minutes from Termini railway station (bus or train + 5 minutes walk)

  • This was a great place to stay in Rome. We loved the room and it was conveniently close to the train station and bus/ tram stops to reach the touristy spots of town. While we didn't meet Tommaso, Marta was around when we checked in and she was very helpful in providing information on travel, places to eat, etc. Thank you for a great start to our Italy trip!

  • We loved staying at Tommaso and Martha's home! It was our first airbnb experience and it was definetely amazing. I felt really comfortable during our stay. The most important thing for me that their apartment was very clean. Also the apartment is close to the train and bus station and also in 15-20 minutes you can walk to any of the hot-spots of Rome. They were ready to answer our question when we need help. They made our trip in Roma very comfortable and easy. Thank u so much lovely couple!

  • Wow! that really sums up our time in Roma and staying with Tommaso in Trastevere. The apartment was very easy to find (right near the Trastevere train station and the #8 tram line), and once we arrived Tommaso and his wife Marta welcomed us with smiles and a delicious cup of Moka Coffee. Tommaso sat with us and we enjoyed conversation with him while we drank our coffee. He also got out his computer and put together a simple walking tour for us around Roma for us to enjoy the next morning. It was very enjoyable and he treated us like friends.

Tommaso and Marta provided us with restaurant suggestions even made a few reservations for us, fun areas to visit, they were very knowledgeable of buses or tram lines we needed to take to get to our areas of interest

The Apartment is very clean, modern, and had plenty of room for two people. really made our trip in Roma very enjoyable and easy.

  • Everything about our stay at Tommaso's was wonderful. Him and Marta are very kind, open people with lots of great advice about Rome. You can tell they really love hosting. The room is cozy, bright, clean and comfortable. It is well-lit with lots of wardrobe space. The bathroom was also in great condition. It's a short 5-min walk to the train/tram station and on the way you can stop for an espresso and some pastries from the cafe on the corner :) In 15-20 minutes you can be at any of the "hot-spots" of Rome. we had a great time and really recommend this place - great location and great value.

Also: super Lage. :-)

In late July / early August, we had the great pleasure to spend 6 days in Rome in the apartment of Marta and Tommaso. It was our first Airbnb experience and it was absolutely great. The apartment is conveniently located, very close to the railway station of Trastevere. You can go anywhere from there with the regional train (eg for S. Pietro), by tram or bus. Only a few stops and you are in the middle of Rome. But you can also walk around the city. So it is a great location. Also the room and the apartment were great, exactly as in the photos, and even with air conditioning, which was a lifesaver with the night temperatures above 30 degrees during this hot summer. Marta and Tommaso were very very friendly and helpful, they speak a good English. We liked them alot. We didn't meet them every day, because of our different rhythms, which is why we were alone in the apartment quite often and had some space for us, when we needed to rest a bit. Whenever we met them, it was always warm and friendly and we had great conversations, once even had dinner together. A very nice evening! If you have questions or need advice, the two are very helpful, so nothing can really go wrong! It felt less like a rented accommodation, but like visiting sympathetic friends. Which is why we would be more than happy to welcome them in Hamburg if they ever visit our beautiful city. :-)

  • My son and I stayed with Tomasso and Marta during our week stay in Rome. We had such a wonderful experience primarily because of this wonderful kind couple. They graciously shared their home, including the kitchen where we could keep food in the fridge. Their apartment is beautiful and peaceful. And there is an air conditioner in the bedroom
