Washington Park is a nice hike up the hill, where you'll find the International Rose Test Garden and the Japanese Garden. There is a seasonal shuttle service that will take you to the zoo.
It's about a mile east to Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The park overlooks the Willamette (wi-LAM-et) River and is home to most of Portland's annual festivals and large events.

Dave's place was perfect, spacious, clean and full of natural light. Right off the Portland MAX line, making getting to downtown super convenient. Had debating getting a car, and was not necessary. Even a trip up to the Portland Zoo, right off the MAX line, 7 minutes away. Great little coffee cafe, not even a block away, Fehrenbacher Hof.
Dave was a great host, and a pleasure to meet. Will definitely stay here again, as I visit Portland every year, and would recommend this place just for convenience alone.
We had such a great weekend getaway to Portland and loved the Goose Hollow neighborhood & studio apartment. Plenty of room, clean and very comfortable. Great little deck off of it as well and easy access to all parts of the city. Thanks very much Dave for your hospitality.
Our stay with Dave was wonderful. He made checking in very easy even though we arrived quite late in the evening. He made sure we were happy with everything and was very helpful when we needed to use the washer. The apartment was clean and comfortable and in a good, quiet location. It was an easy walk to Downtown Portland but it is also just next to Washington Park and the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden and the Arboretum. Excellent location for public transport too. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you Dave!
Dave took good care of me, including a couple last-minute requests, and his place was comfortable and well appointed. Excellent overall experience.
This Goose Hollow studio was perfect for our trip to Portland. The lightrail was only a block away and a quick ride to everywhere we wanted to visit. Washington Park was also a short walk up the hill. Dave was a great host, making it easy to check in and out. He even had a guide notebook inside listing all his favorite restaurants and things to do. Highly recommend this location for any visitors to Portland!
Dave was a great host. He quickly responded to all of our requests. The place was very spacious and clean. The location is not too far from all the great stuff Portland has to offer. It is a quiet neighborhood and is a great place to relax. I would definitely stay here again.
We had an amazing stay at this apartment! It was very clean and the location was perfect! We were walking distance from the majority of our destinations! Checking in and out was made very easy by Dave who provided us with clear and timely instructions. Thanks again Dave!
