Great location! Easy access to NW Portland, downtown and the west hills. Very walkable! Great space to relax in comfort when you're done exploring.
The studio is located in the lower level of our home, under our living space, and is accessed by an exterior stairway. It features a queen sized bed, private full bath, comfortable seating area, kitchenette and bistro table.
The kitchenette has a mini-fridge, microwave, sink, toaster, and dish ware. Perfect for snacks and light meals. There is also a hair dryer in the bathroom, and an iron and ironing board in the closet.
The unit has good light and is very clean. You'll also enjoy a private deck with its own seating area.
You can expect to find a comfortable, welcoming space where you can spread out, relax and then explore the nearby amenities at your own pace.
If stairs are an issue, this may not be the best choice. The unit is accessed by two flights of exterior stairs, 20 steps.
Interaction with guests
Come and go as you please without worrying about disturbing us as you have your own entrance. Enjoy the ability to wander anywhere downtown with ease while being nestled in one of Portland's most historic and charming neighborhoods.
I am happy to advise you as much as you want or just let you be. My goal is for you to be comfortable and enjoy your stay.
Other things to note
Built in 1913, the property is listed on the national historic registry as the Clovis House. The house underwent a complete renovation in 2012-13 and was saved as part of a development deal to build the town homes next door.

Street parking Monday - Friday for more than 2 hours between 7AM and 6PM, and more than 90 minutes between 6PM and 10PM is by permit only. On Saturdays and Sundays it is 90 minutes between 1PM and 10PM. If you need parking during your stay please let me know at the time of your reservation so we can make arrangements to get parking permits. Permits are $5 per day and you can pay me directly. The City also requires that you provide me with your license plate number.

We are a shoes-off home, there is a shoe mat inside by the door.
Access to the unit is via the gate on the west side of the house and down a set of stairs. Please keep the gate locked. It tends to slam shut so closing it quietly, especially at night, is appreciated.

Hi, I'm your host, Dave. I currently work as Business Systems Analyst for Portland Parks & Recreation. My family consists of one young son, Walker, and my partner, Roland, who's an engineer for the Bonneville Power Administration. We have been together since 1991 and are both originally from Southern Idaho and graduates of the University of Idaho.
We love to travel and have been all over North America, we hope to go further when our son is older. Roland has made several trips to Europe. We can appreciate that when you travel it is essential that you have a clean, private, and comfortable place to stay.
