We are usually away from Providence when guests come to stay. We leave keys in a lockbox at the front door, and can always be reached by cell or email if guests need anything. We'll give you the lockbox code after booking.
The neighborhood is an ideal launching spot for walking to Brown, RISD or downtown Providence. We're just one block downhill from the Van Wickle Gates and very close to the route of the graduation procession. Some of the best restaurants, cafes and attractions are also an easy walk from the apartment. Please see the guidebook for details.
Most guests head off on foot - downtown, RISD and Brown campuses are 2-10 minutes away.
We're also very close to public transit - we're a 10 minute walk from the Providence train station and the bus station at Kennedy Plaza and a 20 minute drive from TF Green airport.
* If you do plan to drive, please ask us for parking help. We have an overnight street parking pass for all guests; guests can use street parking during the day.

izzy was a real pleasure right from the start. clear instructions, very responsive and friendly. the apartment itself was even more beautiful in person, and the location was ideal for our purposes -- we could walk and bike everywhere we wanted to go.
Beautiful apartment! Comfortable, stylish and spacious with great location. The perfect place to stay for a weekend in Providence.
I spent two nights at Izzy's place and it was perfect! The place was beautiful, clean, and although the hosts were not in town, I had no difficulty going in and out thanks to the excellent instructions she gave me on how to get in, where everything was, and what the parking situation was. The guest parking was perfect to find a parking spot until noon each day, and then parking around Brown was totally fine. Great place at a location in Providence that is hard to beat!
My boyfriend and I spent three days/night at Izzy's place and it was wonderful! It was our first experience with AirBnB. The place was clean, beautiful, and she gave excellent instructions on how to get in, where everything was, and what the parking situation was (doable!). And the location was perfect and very central.
Fantastic apartment, excellent location, timely communication. Couldn't have gone better!
This was a fantastic home away from home. I found myself wanting to be friends with Izzy & Jeff. Their home was impeccably appointed and everything about my stay in Providence effortless. If given the opportunity I will return again and again. I didn't get a chance to use the kitchen. But it was great. The location is better than the photos. Ideal for walking both on College Hill, Brown, RISD and environs, but also great if you have business downtown. Easy walks to almost anywhere you want to be. Zipcar, Lyft and Uber make it very easy to stay without having a car. Easy walks to the restaurants on Wickeden. Although a further trek, I fell in love with Red Stripe in Wayland Square. You'll find Brown and RISD students think that Wayland Square is too far away, but it's less than a mile. Perfect on a mild day. I must confess a fried whole belly clam addiction and Hemenways is just down the hill. Yum!
Shower pressure excellent. Lots of light. Izzy was always available and so very enthusiastic and friendly it made any sense of awkwardness immediately dissipate. This was my first Airbnb experience.
Spacious. Easy. Gracious. Friendly. Warm. Lovely. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Can't wait to return!
Izzy's place was very nice and she was easy to communicate w during our stay. I went with my husband and 10 month old daughter, we stayed for 4 nights. The kitchen was large and had all standard appliances. The place was clean and comfortable.
