Chic, bright and very comfortable. The lighting is integrated into the ceiling and polished concrete floors are perfect for walking barefoot; there is underfloor heating. Each piece of furniture and each drawing was carefully chosen.
The first room of the house is the kitchen. Brand new and with integrated appliances is equipped for both short and long stays. It receives both north and south light through the window and the interior balcony.
The kitchen is open to the spacious living room. Next to another balcony, facing west, there is a glass table for eating or working. In the living room a leather sofa and armchair are perfect for relaxing or watching TV. There is also a table with two poufs, for if there are guests.

I've been living 30 years in Madrid andI love my city, so do not hesitate to ask me for recommendations on Madrid. I love to travel myself and I know that usually best places are not on the guides…
I hope you have a great stay while you are at my place. And I hope you feel at home there. So just treat the house like you would treat yours. Be nice to the neighbors like you´d be to yours. And, please enjoy the flat and the city.
Very very hot in this apartment! It was very difficult to sleep. That being said, it is a very nice space in a great location, tons of nice places to eat nearby. There was some difficulties with the keys but Fernando's friend Luz answered our call to help out.
El piso esta en excelente ubicacion tal como decia el anuncio. Muy bien equipado y todo en orden. Una estancia muy agradable.
Great location but the apartment had no AC so being there was almost unbearable with the heat. It would be a good place to stay in the fall.
Our flight was delayed but we received a lovely welcome from Fernandos's helper. The flat was lovely gives you a workout on the way in and out being on the fourth floor with no lift - helps you burn off all the delicious food and drink that Madrid has to offer. Location offered a perfect place from which to explore Malasaña, Chueca and Madrid's other barrios. Hope to be back - more in love with the city than ever before.
The apartment is lovely, on a great street in the middle of the city. There is a cleaning lady who leaves the apartment perfect for your arrival, plenty of towels and toilet paper and cleaning products. The bedroom can get a little warm at night but the apartment stays pretty cool during the day. The owner is super fast to respond to messages.
The apartment is very well located (quiet when you are inside and full of life on the streets around). Fernando has been responding very quickly to all inquiries.
Note that there is no air conditioner and could get really hot in the summer months. The wifi signal was very low sometimes.
Fernando's apartment was as described - bright, comfortable and situated in a great central location. Fernando responded to all of our queries quickly and provided some good recommendations on where to eat around town.
The apartment did get quite warm during the day (early June) however there was enough airflow to cool it down when the windows were opened.

About the Host, Fernando
I´m Fernando, I´ve lived in Madrid most of my life, and I love my city.
I first airbnb during a long trip through the United States. As a guest I found it a great way to visit places. Much better than hotels. So when I came back I decided to rent my place. Its a house i designed for me and my wife . We bought it because it had tons of light, clear views and mainly the best location. Its in a quiet pedestrian street with many orange trees, but you are in the middle of everything and you can walk to all the places that we loved in Madrid. I hope you enjoy it as we did when we lived there.
