Interaction with Guests
I am usually around-in the garden, kitchen or on my computer. I am happy to say hello, hear of your adventures or answer questions! Your visit is about you, not me, so have a great time. :)

Walking 3 to 10 blks will get you to 30 different restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, wine bars, brew pubs and bottle shops. You'll find Cambodian, Japanese, French, Italian, Vegan, Hawaiian, Thai, Nicaraguan, Swedish, Mexican and Portland fusion.
We have a fresh, outdoor market every Wed, rain or shine. The Portland Kombucha brewers, fermenters and briners are close by. Plus coffee roasters and 50 Licks Ice Cream!

Portland's transit system is Trimet. A ticket is good on the bus, train and streetcar; they have a Trip planner that gives you 2-3 options when you enter addresses or places or times. We have 2 buses, close by, 2-3 blks, that run every 15 min, 6 am to 10 pm.
There is a Max train, at the airport, that runs every 15 min until 11pm. It will get you into town to connect with a bus to the neighborhood.
Or as mentioned before, you could ask me to transport you to/from the airport for $20 a trip.
Other Things to Note
Join us in the Kitchen/great room if you like. We'll have some coffee or tea for you if you ask.
Portland's 'close in' locations, mean Train horns! Some people love them, some people need earplugs (bring them) on Summer nights when they open the windows. :-)
We are quiet after 11pm. You may come and go as you like as long as you are quietly, respectful after hours.
Please no red wine in the rooms, I have light carpets and somehow, someone always spills a glass!
If you use bleaching products as part of your cosmetics, please let me know so I can give you white towels. :)
Check with me about parking--my neighbor on the west prefers we don't park in front of his house.
We had a great stay a Lucinda's place! Her home is in a fantastic location, with excellent access to bus lines. We took some longer day trips outside of the city, but if you want to stay in the city for your entire trip, there really is no need for a rental car. We really enjoyed the ease of coming and going, and had no challenges sharing a bathroom with the other Airbnb guests at the house. We were on the go for most of our trip, so we didn't spend much time chatting with Lucinda, but she was always open to talk or give us space as needed. Thanks for a terrific stay Lucinda!
Lucinda provided a nice, clean, and warm environment in a great part of Portland. Easy access to the fantastic food including Pok Pok, Salt and Straw, and local food carts. If you're more for the downtown scene, the 4 or 9 bus are very easily accessed and less than a 15 minute trip.
You will have a very clean room with a comfortable queen bed. You may or may not be sharing a bathroom with another room used for Airbnb guests. Overall, it was a great place to stay.
Lucinda was a very nice host!
The room was clean an Big!
We enjoyed the time there.
Host was delightful--even though we arrived around midnight. All was ready and comfortable. House and neighborhood was quiet, nice, just right for us. Casual atmosphere and friendly. Kitchen was VERY WELL furnished so cooking was very easy.
We loved staying in Lucinda's home. She is warm and inviting. Her home is immaculate and in a great part of town! We found that we were super close to great restaurants on Division street and minutes from downtown Portland. When we visit Portland again, we hope to stay with Lucinda! It was a great experience.
We had a perfect time and a fabulous experience with Lucinda! We absolutely LOVED the location and the neighborhood was incredible! It was perfect for walks to restaurants and shops!
We had a very lovely experience and could not ask for a more gracious host , warmer welcome and cozier stay!
Thanks, Ruthie! I do have coffee and tea on the counter, to make any time you like. I'm sorry if I neglected to point it out to you. It is a filter and cup by cup strategy; I also have an espresso machine in the cabinet! If only I'd known you were interested in imbibing at home.

I'm a friendly, direct person. I like people. I've always lived with roommates, even when married. I have a lovely home and garden, where I can be found most days! I am a Licensed Massage Therapist for 25 years and have a Private Massage Studio on sight! Both of my sons and their wives, have homes close by. I walk my young son's dog, Taz, in the afternoon or we go to a dog park for some socializing. During the summer, I like to ride my bike through the neighborhood. In the evening, I love to take a picnic for Portland Music in the Parks.
