The space
Total privacy and peace are provided among our 30 secular trees in our large, colourful garden, where you will be able to walk, read or bring your laptop and work with a stunning view (a smart-working paradise for remote workers).
We are an "Airbnb-full-employment-family" passionately transitioning towards an eco-friendlier form of hosting, which, together with our transition to a PLASTIC-FREE AIRBNB, makes our activity a form of more sustainable tourism.
The enclosed wide large garden is provided with rustic tables, comfortable chairs, barbecue, stone benches and many instruments, where you can experience several activities like yoga, Pilates (only for pilates, we offer the possibility to take a course with a professional teacher directly in the garden, upon request and availability), cooking classes, birdwatching, hiking, excursions, biking and so on.
You will be far from the city crowds, breathing fresh clean air: you only need to choose your favourite corner of the garden!
Stable WIFI all over the property enables a safe connection and, If you have children with you, they can frolic happily and safely around the large garden while you use your laptop!
We had improved our (already) meticulous cleaning protocol by adding the use of specific equipment and products compliance to Airbnb policy and our region Standard.
The villa is surrounded by farms with ORGANIC kitchen garden from which we get most of the ingredients for our cooking classes, wich, together with the possibility of taking a cooking class, we try to turn your journey into an immersion in nature.
Located close to the NEBRODI Mounts and the MADONIE mounts, our place is perfect for birdwatchers on their way to observe interesting bird migrations or the autoctone wildlife, as well as to drive towards other hot spots for birdwatching (such as the scenario of EuroBirdWatch 2020, which took place in Sicily) on comfortable day trips.
INTERNALLY, the cottage has 2 floors: on the ground floor you will find an open space, cozy, country style kitchen–living room and a picturesque stone chimney, ideal to enjoy a good glass of wine, smart working and roasting chestnuts while feeling out of time! (here you will find also a sofa-bed).
The two bedrooms and the house bathroom (connected directly only with the big bedroom, so when our guests are more than 2 and they are not a family, we provide a separè to access the bathroom) are on the second floor, where you will also find a balcony in front of the wide garden and of a 100 YEARS/OLD STONE HOUSE, where our traditional SICILIAN COOKING CLASSES take place in a timeless atmosphere.
The second little bathroom is separate from the main house, it is located in a smaller, secondary house, adjacent to the main one: a rustic version for countryside lovers.
Heating is provided thanks to a stone wood fire, AC and several heaters!

The house includes a IN-SITE FREE PARKING.
Dogs and pets are absolutely welcome, BUT WE KINDLY ASK our guests to bring them ONLY if they have a cot or a bedding of their own.
We STRONGLY suggest you to rent a car to reach us due to our countryside roads and to fully expercience your journey around here with our stunning panorama (it can be hard to move around by bus or train)
Other things to note
Our cottage is located about 5 km away (5-6 min by car) from the city-centre of Nicosia, a full-of-history town (once known as ‘’the city of churches’’), protected in the relaxing harmony of the Sicilian mountains, but at the same time its location is the perfect spot to visit Central Sicily as a detoxifying "stop on the way" to visit the beautiful Sicilian coast destinations (however 30-40 min far).
The perfect combination to discover the soul of Central Sicily, with a perfect location if you plan to visit the opposite coast sides of the island (our place is located between the East cost (Catania, Taormina, Siracusa and so on) and the western (Palermo, Cefalù, Trapani and so on)!
Among the off-the-beaten-track must-see spots in our region, from the house you can enjoy the cultural sites and food must-visits of Nicosia, but also quickly reach several old villages. In fact, staying here, you will also have the possibility to visit two old VILLAGES-FORTRESSES, which have been awarded the title of ''Borgo più bello d' Italia'' (Most beautiful village in Italy): Gangi (titled in 2014), at only 20 min drive and Petralia Soprana (titled in 2018), but also Sperlinga and its wonderful castle (12min), Mistretta, Castelbuono, as well as visiting KM 0 farms, producing élite food products.
Places that you won’t find immediately on travel sites, but which are the real core of our traditions.
The place is very close to restaurants, natural parks, trekking paths, hiking & biking paths (very wild one), so it is a solution for nature – lovers, willing to discover the Sicilian woods, its unique Mediterrean mountain ecosystems.
The two closest protected areas are the ‘’Riserva naturale orientata Campanito – Sambughetti’’ (10 minutes or less by car) and the ‘’Riserva naturale orientata Monte Altesina’’ (20 min by car). Both worth a visit!
Moreover, in whichever direction you will decide to move by car, you will find little villages and towns, each one with its own dialect, culinary specialties (unknown by many travellers) and unique ancient architecture, which will bring you back in time. PLEASE NOTE: to fully experience our Central Sicily region, we STRONGLY suggest to rent a car into the airport to enjoy the fantastic views that will surround you during your stay, due to our countryside style, roads and to fully expercience your journey around here (it can be hard to move around by bus or train).
