Quiet, Spacious, Comfortable and cozy in a corner of Rome that not many people know, but that is really special! The colors of the house recently renovated our hospitality and courtesy are a winning combination! You are welcome!
The apartment is located in the heart of Rome, in the district of San Saba on the edge of the green and archaeological complex of Terme di Caracalla - Circus Maximus - Palatino, one of the greenest and most traditional areas
of the City. The ancient building from 1940s is pervaded by the sun for most of the day and for most of the year. On the third floor of the building (overall 4 floors), you will have at your disposal a spacious room with a two big "French" bed (140x200cm), facing South / East with a very quiet and characteristic view. In this small neighbourhood of the most prestigious areas of Rome, the birds will wake you up in the morning. Guests can enjoy breakfast in the kitchen which has a nice red colour. Coming home you will leave behind the crowd of the city and you can enjoy a romantic sunset drink in the beautiful terrace. If you wish, I can suggest itineraries for your cultural, gastronomic or mundane interests to discover the most interesting and sur real sites of this wonderful city!
- At 5-minute walk: Piramide Metro, Bus, Train Station (40 minutes from Fiumicino), House of Jazz, the Baths of Caracalla, Testaccio.
- At 15 min walk: Circus Maximus, Palatino, Roman Forum, Colosseum, Portaportese, Trastevere. (Bike and scooter rental: practical ways to explore the city independently)
Wi-Fi and the possibility of using the washing machine and the kitchen.
Possible presence of other guests in the apartment, no children, no pets. I will always be close to you for any need.
The real heart of San Saba is the garden of the square (Piazza Bernini) : there are trees that shade the benches , two drinking fountains for thirsty dogs and children , the monument to the fallen in the Great War , the market in the morning, the playground installed in the enclosure of the church, and the elementary school that also overlooks the square and where the neighborhood go to vote when election time . There is a newsagent, a few grocery stores , a bar-tobacco , and once there was even a movie theater - called Ruby - who has now become a small theater, the Amphitryon. There is , in short, everything that makes a country independent and recognizable , appunto.Comprese habits of residents so all end up going from the square at least once a day : kids who go back and forth between the school and the playground , older people that inhabit the benches, the people at the market , a group of adults that evening to play cards on the hood of a car. And since many of the inhabitants today are the children and grandchildren of those then - here we still know a lot of others, you are greeted on the street, they meet people chat on the bus. The periphery of this country - absolutely accomplished in itself and happily secluded from traffic while still inside the walls and collegatissimo - was later urbanized from the 30s to the 60s , especially outside the walls, and even if there are still villas and condominiums have maintained dimensions liveable, 2500 original inhabitants have become perhaps 20,000. The constraint of the archaeological park and the Baths of Caracalla , however, have slowed , fortunately , the passion of Roman brick.
Is the most connected to Rome by public transport. Train, subway, bus, tram and train fast to airport. :)
Enjoy that Rome is beautiful!

Very good location and friendly hosts! Very calm and quiet place near the center. Large bright kitchen and a comfortable bed!
Had a wonderful stay here with Stefano. The apartment is clean, well-kept and cozy. I had work at the UNFAO so it was only a 10 minute walk. The apartment is also very close to the Ostiense station, that connects directly to the airport. I would highly recommend staying here for a no-hassle experience. Hope to see you soon Stefano!
Bravi!
Roberta and her family were very sweet to us! Very cozy and pretty apartment. Her son is so precious as well! Thank you, Roberta!!
Roberta and Stefano leave in a very quiet area, so your sleep will be good here! and it is also quite convenient in terms of transportation. The room is very clean and bright, but you need to like to sleep on a firm mattress! the apartment is clean with just a dark point in the bathroom: the shower is very small but above all has some mold at the bottom of the glass panels…but i am sure this is an issue that they will not leave like this.
Don't forget to ask for exact location info and how to get to the subway and transportation before you leave.
We loved our stay at Roberta's home. Her home is conveniently located near the Piramide station (5 mins walking away) and the first stop off the Ostiense (if you are coming in by Italian train to Rome). We were a bus ride away from the Termini station (Colosseum sight) and pleasantly entertained by just walking there past the breathtaking ruins (approx. 30 - 45 mins walking).
Her charming room was set up nicely to fit the 3 of us and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (hot shower, towels, blankets etc.) The house is calm and quiet and her baby is very friendly and adorable. We ended up leaving a few little nick-knacks behind and she sent them to us via airmail. She is so sweet! Thank you Roberta!
Thank you! Thanks for your hospitality! I can just agree with all the other positive recommendations: a sweet family in an overwhelming city.
My wife and I stayed at Roberta's apartment and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. First, we arrived at the apartment a couple hours early, but were impressed that in only 10 minutes Roberta had someone come over and let us in. That in itself is an incredible response time. Next the apartment was very comfortable and well appointed; the spacious kitchen was great since we like to cook and there is a grocery store nearby. Lastly Roberta was very courteous and professional in all of our interactions and so the next time we find ourselves in Rome, we hope to have her as our host again.
