The space

The 300 year old house is located in a village at Lake Skadar, 8 km away from the wellknown village of Rijeka Crnojevica. The last years it got renovated with love and a lot of patience;) The house itself is surrounded by vinyards and meadows.
Overall, the house has 90m ² of living space on three levels. A cozy terrace, barbecue facilities, gardenshower are at your disposal. The bedroom offers a queen-sized bed and single bed, the living room a sofa bed (140 cm). The house comfortably offers room for 4-5 people. Upon request we can provide you a baby bed. Children up to 7 years are free of charge. Additional two beds can be added.
The kitchen and bathroom are downstairs. The entire garden area can be used (hammocks, playground, etc..), As well as the fresh vegetables, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, saisonal fruits, etc. from the garden.
The accommodation is suitable for people who would like to meet a country and its traditions off-the-beaten track. The village does not offer shopping facitilites, so please take some provisions with you. We provide you some basics for the first breakfast (coffee, tea, milk, butter, honey, jam, bread, joghurt). The closest grocery stores are located in Podgorica (20 min) or Rijeka crnojevica (15 min). In the fishing villages Karuc (10 min) or Rijeka Crnojevica there are several fish restaurants.

We provide you 2 mountainbikes free of charge (or upon request more which we have to charge), so you can explore the surroundings. A joyfull way to explore the quite hilly surroundings is by electric bike, which we offer for rental EUR 25/day.
If you like to walk, some nice walking trails, eg. to the village of Karuc, start right from the house ( 5km, 1hrs45min). A very unique local experience is to go out with a local fisherman and bring in the catch of the day. This happens very early in the morning, but is rewarded with an memorable experience and a tasty fish breakfast. We are happy to organize this for you. Since we run an adventure holiday business we are happy to advise you on hiking, cycling, mountainbiking, horseback riding, cooking and wine tasting etc holidays - just let us know.

Guest access

The house itself and terrace is all yours. Next door lives our uncle Luka, he is a quiet fellow and won't disturb your stay, still you should respect his privacy, especially around his house. Upon your arrival we will show you the part of property you can move and use.

Our trip to the stone house was wonderful. A perfect escape from city life. The Jablan family was so welcoming, leaving some food upon our arrival...including their own honey and homemade medovyha. Later Patel treated us to his homemade wine which was lovely!! We travelled with our two children, 4 years and 5 months. Angelika and Boris provided everything needed for comfortable stay with kids. Our eldest loves the garden shower and watching the turtles on the property. And was excited to go pick veggies for a salad everyday from the garden. We highly recommend this home away from home and look forward to returning in the future!!

A homey welcoming place on a rural road in remote central Montenegro, 20 min from gorgeous Lake Skadar National park. Very relaxing atmosphere. We especially appreciated the well equipped kitchen, the local cheese and brandy, and the chance to make strawberry shortcake with fruit from the garden. Pavel is the Montenegrin friend/ grandfather you never knew you had. We will come back again. One note: it's a working family farm, so expect other people on the property. The house offers lots of privacy.

A wonderful house and location, and a warm and welcoming family! Guests have access to the property's garden and farm, and we were given a tour of the full property on our arrival. The house is spacious, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. The Angelika and her family were very helpful as we figured out the logistics of the next stage of our trip. We would strongly recommend staying here!

Great stay at the Stonehouse on the wonderful Jablan family family--perhaps our favorite Airbnb find ever! The rustic country house attached to the old barn has undergone a top-notch renovation. Very comfortable and fully stocked with amenities and supplies. The first-morning breakfast "starter plate" was a real treat. Our favorite part however was the farm itself; vineyards, beehives and a large beautiful vegetable garden the host generously shares with guests all set in beautiful countryside. Wonderful tranquility. Our hosts could not have been better. Great communication and advice on how best to visit the region. Angelika's father-in-law who attends to the farm most days, welcomed us as if we were family. Great guy. We stayed 5 days but could of happily spent a month living the good life on this authentic piece of country life in a very interesting corner of Montenegro.

The stone house is just as described and was the perfect getaway from the city. I made dinners using vegetables from the garden and learned all about the vineyard on the property. The mountain bike was incredible -- I explored the lake and saw some of the best views I've ever seen.

This place is a combination of a historic old stone farm building and an modern Austrian mountain chalet, in the hills of Montenegro. Very special. During our stay Angelika hosted a local slow foods dinner which we were very lucky to sit in on. We would definitely have extended our stay if it wasn't for torrential rains, which shut off local power, but otherwise would have loved to stay on the property for a week.

A wonderful break from more conventional tourist options. The grounds are beautiful and the location is a great way to explore Skadar Lake and visit nearby wineries. Angelika's family are very welcoming.

For several years we renovated the old family house in a village next to Lake Skadar and now its finished, almost, like with any old house...We love the house and the tranquil atmosphere of the village - especially after a long day in office. Get an insight in Montenegrin villa…
