Tara and her friend Wendy were helpful all throught he process, there to give us keys etc. as planned, Had a small issue with hot water, quickly rectified. Great neighborhood lovely flat!!
We spent 3 nights in the apartment which is really well appointed. The location is excellent and as others have said there are great eateries in easy reach & London Bridge tube station is just 10 minutes walk away. The weather was kind so we were able to make excellent use of the sun terrace. We had a pleasant surprise with a bottle of fizz & a large bowl of tasty fruit as a welcome present.
Tara dealt with all our queries before and after our stay efficiently & promptly. Wendy met us on arrival and gave us excellent tips and advice.
We had use of a car parking space in a secure area which was a lovely bonus.
I arranged to meet Wendy for key pickup which worked out well. The apartment is lovely and bright. Having the bedrooms upstairs from the other living space is nice for privacy and noise. Outside living space in London is rare and having the outdoor deck areas is lovely. The flat overlooks Bermondsey Street, but is surprisingly quiet at night. The flat is close to two, coffee shops (Watch House and Hej in Bermondsey Square, a grocery and numerous bars and restaurants. It is a 10 minute walk from London Bridge Station with great access to the rest of the city.
Everything about the apartment was ace -- from the location to layout. Tara and Wendy allowed us to drop our bags before check-in on our day of arrival so that we could explore the surroundings.
Bermondsey Street is a wonderful neighborhood, with lots of cool cafes and shops. The apartment has a killer view of The City and The Shard.
Thanks to the hosts for doing some shopping for us before our arrival. Our kids devoured the fruit and loved the lift with the "bump" at the end. Apologies to the neighbors if they enjoyed it a bit too much.
If you are looking for a place that truly feels like home, this is a great place and a gracious host. The street maintains a small town feel while being within walking distance from The Tower Bridge and many major destinations and the apartment is great for unwinding.
(I did download a manual for the washing machine, though as the symbols are a bit cryptic. We were amazed that the washing machine even includes a drying cycle! I wish we had those stateside!) Something worth updating on the listing (that there is a dryer available), and maybe including a cheat sheet (I generally used the "I" setting for organic stains and it seemed to do the trick).
Thanks again, Tara & Wendy! (and Cara thanks you for finding her iPod Touch and also for the goodies for the plane).

We loved Tara's place! It was just as described in the profile with lots of light and great terraces. We never met Tara, but she provided lots of information and recommendations in advance for restaurants and shows. Wendy greeted us and showed us around. She made our arrival easy and provided all the necessary information about the apartment (plus fresh fruit and wine). She made it clear that she was available if we needed anything which was nice to know. Wendy also went above and beyond to arrange our airport transportation. Thanks, Wendy! This was a part of London we would not otherwise have visited and we really enjoyed exploring the neighborhood. We tried half a dozen different restaurants/bakeries all within 3-4 blocks and they were all good. Access to transportation was easy with a bus stop at the end of the block or a tube station 10 minutes away. There were also plenty of taxis available right outside our front door. We were out late every night. Bermondsey Street was active but not noisy and always felt safe. The apartment was clean and comfortable and we were glad to get "home" each day. It's a great area for walking around and was the perfect base for our visit to London.
Really nice apartment together with a wonderful service from both Wendy and Tara. The apartment was perfect for two children and three adults. Centrally placed on Bermondsey street, with plenty of nice restaurants. Especially Pizzaro (right below the apartment) was very nice.
My husband and two children, ages 11 and 13 vacationed in England. We spent three nights at Tara's apartment. Tara sent us a welcoming email and providing advice on transportation. We never had an opportunity to meet Tara; however, her friend Wendy met us at the apartment when we arrived. Wendy was extremely welcoming, gave us a tour of the apartment and and an overview of the area.
All the positive reviews are accurate. The apartment was in a great location, clean and very welcoming. It was in walking distance to the Tower of London and London Bridge Station. In addition, there were many great restaurants and a small grocery store within walking distance.

About the Host, Tara
I really love living and working in London. Sampling all the delicious foods in the many restaurants, visiting one of the many markets, galleries, parks or plays. Strolling up my road - Bermondsey Street, stopping off at the bustling Antiques Fair and Borough Market. As you can see I like good food, good company in a great spaces. I am adventurous, with a good sense of humour; someone who believes you shouldn't take life too seriously and live it to the ful!
